Me and Lily have been steady for almost a year. Tomorrow marks a year. It strange when I see her at the station though when we're on cases because we both don't want my team knowing about us. So we have to act professional. Mostly because we want it a secret for has long as we want. We spend time together when we can. There's still something off about her. But I'll wait. I fiddle with the promise ring in my pocket. It's only been a year but I love her. And I'm going to tell her, tonight. I have everything planned. We're going to have a dinner picnic at the park where she asked me out. We've been together a yeah and we have never said "I love you." Only "love you." It's not the same. I'm nervous.
We both have demanding jobs her actually being a lead detective. And me being a profiler we try an talk but work lately has been crazy. Today is like any other day, no care came up so we're doing paper work. Then my desk phone rings I lift and eyebrow;
"Dr.Reid here."
"Hey there hot stuff." I smile at Lily's voice. "I've missed you." She says I feel everyone's eyes on me "Yeah I miss you too." She waits "They're watching you aren't they." She laughs, I smile "Yeah they are." I reply to her. "Tomorrow is our 1 year anniversary. You still haven't told me what we're doing!" I laugh but don't say anything because I see JJ come out of her office and yell "round table in 5." My heart sinks then I hear on the other side of the line "we've contacted the FBI they are on their way Detective." I can tell she wasn't expecting this "Okay. Well I guess I'll see you soon. And anniversary will have to wait. Love you Spence." With that she hangs up and I make my way to the round table.
