That was it. I was officially done.
Sadie was now the property of Lance and not mine. God knows how long it's gonna take me to get over her.
But why am I even upset? I have an amazing girlfriend.

The next day at school, I couldn't even glance at Sadie. She was with Lance and one of her friends named Hadley.

Maddie

Something was going on with Josh and I was determined to find out. He was staring at somebody and I gently grabbed his jaw and turned him to face me.

"What are you staring at?"

"Nothing babe." He smiled, but I knew it wasn't a real one. Something was eating him alive and I could tell. He wasn't himself.

I looked over his shoulder and followed his eyes and then it hit me.

It was Sadie. Sadie was now dating Lance and that's why Josh was upset.

I couldn't believe this. Josh had fallen for a girl who wasn't me in less than a month.

She wasn't me. And I wasn't her.

He loved her, not me.

That's what stung the most.
