Kenna's POV

I woke up to the sound of my stupid alarm on my phone. It was about a month and a half into the 7th grade school year and I already desperately wanted summer back. Me and Robbie were still best friends and Kings of that forest. We go to the treehouse all the time. Of course its changed quite a bit since our days in primary school. There are still beanbags and the green rug has been replaced with a red one. There are board games there like monopoly, guess who, and my all time favorite clue. Most of the posters have been taken down and put up pictures of me and Robbie and the guys. Speaking of the guys, I fit in pretty good with them and were all one big epically awesome group. Of course there are a few posters on there, a lot are of my favorite bands and TV shows. Also up on the wall is pictures and paintings from yours truly. I love art and I'm pretty good at it too, I get it from my mother. And we still have the picture that I drew many years ago of us atop of the treehouse with golden crowns on our heads.

I very slowly got out of bed and go put on my clothes. Since it was Autumn, I picked out black leggings, a white shirt with a batman logo on it, and my usual black and white converse sneakers. My style is different from other girls. I put my hair up in a ponytail then put on eyeliner and mascara. All the other girls are wearing skinny jeans and high heels, I never felt comfortable in them, plus its so hard to climb trees in them. They also wore a lot of makeup but I just don't think I need all that much, I tried it for a while but I felt like I was wearing a mask. Robbie said I didn't need it and that I looked fine without it. So I stopped wearing as much and just stuck to eyeliner, mascara, and once in a while some foundation to cover up my acne and stuff.

After packing my bag I headed out the door to the crosswalk at the end of my road. I stood there waiting for Robbie to come down his road and meet me so we can walk together to school. We've been walking together since 5th grade. I wait about 5 minutes before seeing a figure wearing blue walking down the street. I smile to myself.

"Hey buddy!" I greeted him once he approached me.

"Hello love." He greets me with a smile and that British accent then kisses me on the cheek. He does this all the time, ever since that day when I went to his house. Also ever since then, I whack him on the arm whenever he did it.

"What took you so long?" I asked curious.

"Slept through my alarm clock. Its only been about a month and I'm already exhausted."

"Me too. God I want summer back!" I exclaimed.

We walked to school just talking about random stuff like usual. We finally get to the school parking lot where there are lots of cars from teachers and parents dropping off their child. We enter the school doors and fight through the small crowd to get to the cafeteria. We enter and then take our seats at our usual table where Alex, Patrick, Mikey, and Andy were sitting.

"HEEEEYYY!!!" They all yell a greeting at us. We all start our own little conversations. I was talking to Andy about the zombie apocalypse that's totally gonna happen.

"Hey I'm gonna go get a drink." I told the table. They all mumbled ok's. I get up and walk to the other end of the cafeteria to the vending machine. I scanned the drinks before deciding on a blue Gatorade. I pick up my drink from the slot and go to turn around and walk back but I stumble into something. I look up to see a girl with blonde hair, a sparkly pink shirt, a black skirt, a giant silver bow in her hair, and pink heels that looked really dangerous. This girl was none other than Samantha Young. The girl who I tried to be friends with in second grade but she made fun of me and my GI-Joe. She and her three other friends stood in front of me.
