Chapter 5: What's your issue?

Oh mah goodness this took forever I apologize greatly. This chapter wouldn't save I went to Disney last week and its just been nuts. I promise I will get back on track but for now please bear with me. You guys have been great thank you so much! I could not ask for better readers! So without further ado: ON WITH THE SHOW!!!

Makenna's POV

"Come on Kenna! They'll be here any minute!" Andy yelled running down the crowded hall. Andy invited me to his band practice and I have always wondered what Andy sound's like singing. His voice is already deep so I cant imagine what he would sound like singing.

"I'm going as fast as I can!" I yell back to him while trying to keep up. We finally get to the front of the building where the van was expected to pick us up.

"They'll be here soon," Andy said.

"Oy Kenna!" I hear to my right. I turn to see Robbie running toward us, I meet him half way.

"What's up?" I ask.

"You're going to that band practice thing today right?"

"Yeah," I respond.

"Okay well uh do me a favor and be safe. I know Andy will be there but I don't trust those guys," Robbie says putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Robbie I'll be fine. Its only a band practice, what's the worst that could happen?" I say shrugging.

"Well I know it's just that I care about you and don't want anything to happen to you," He says bringing me into a hug.

"Thanks Robbie but I'm not made of glass, I can handle myself," I say reassuringly.

"Makenna, the van's here!" Andy yelled to me. A white van came into the school parking lot. Like before all the windows were down and it had loud rock music coming from the radio inside.

"There's my ride," I tell Robbie.

"Don't do anything stupid," He says sternly.

"Kay dad," I say sarcastically. He smiles and kisses me on the cheek. As usual I whack him. I wave goodbye then run over to Andy who is talking to his friends.

"You ready?" Andy asks. I nod and he opens the back door to the van. In the back are two guys and some music equipment, stuff like amps and cords. Two other guys, one of whom is driving. I hop in the van and Andy follows behind me. The van takes off rather quickly.

"Okay boys, this is Makenna, Kenna these are the boys!" Andy introduces me. "Okay we got CC, our drummer driving," CC waves hi from the drivers seat. "Ashly, one of our guitarists, in the passenger."

"Sup babe," Ashly says from the passenger. I can already tell he's a bit cocky.

"Then we got Jake and Jinxx our other guitarists." Andy gestures to the guys next to us. Jake smiles and waves. Jinxx gave me a fist bump.

"It's nice to meet you guys," I say shyly. I'm quite shy when it comes to new people. "So, um, what's the name of your band again?"

"Oh its Black Veil Brides," Andy says. (You guys see what I did there? If you know this band you're cool.)

"Cool name," I say nodding. The van takes a sharp turn and I fall right on to Jake. I feel my face heat up and I immediately get back up. "Uh, Sorry, I fell," I stutter.

"Nah it's all good, don't worry about it," Jake shakes his head. "Hey CC, slow down, we don't need another crash!" He yells.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever," CC waves his hand. A few minutes later the van comes to as stop. We hop out of the van and were in front of a house with a garage. We head into the garage and there was a bunch of instruments. A drum kit, three guitars, amps, a keyboard and a mic. There were also a couch and band posters all over the walls. I recognized some of them like Green Day and blink182.
"Okay you ready dudes?" Jinxx asks.
"Hell yeah lets do this shit!" Ashley yells.
Right when they were about to start playing, there was a rapid knocking on the garage window.
"Hey, Ash baby you in there?" A squeaky annoying voice comes from the outside. The boys groan.
"Ash what is she doing here?" Andy whines.
"I don't know man, I broke up with her a week ago and she wont leave! She's so annoying!" He complains.
"If she was so annoying why did you date her?" I ask.
"Well I mean she was hot and well-"
"He wanted to get in her pants cause he's a manwhore!" CC yelles cutting him off.
"Just take care of her man," Andy sighes.
Ashley went over and opened the garage door to reveal a girl with blond hair that I knew all too well. It was Samantha. How on earth did she end up with a giy like Ashley. Actually no I can see it.
"What do you want Sam?" He askes.
"Hey babe, come to the movies with me! We could sit in the back just us two!" She giggles.
"No Sam I'm in the middle of band practice," he said gesturing toward us.
"Oh, I see," She says while staring at the annoyed band members. "Oh hey Andy," she giggles and waves.
"Yup," he says monotonous. Her eyes wander towards me. She glares daggers into my soul.
"What is SHE doing here?" She asks disgusted.
"I invited her," Andy says through gritted teeth.
"Oh, well then, I think I might stay for a bit," she says struuting in and sitting down on the old couch with me.
"Okay can we start now?" Jake asks irritably. They all go back to where they left off.
"Okay this ones called: Knives and pens," he smiles.
The song starts wth some nice guitar, then in come the drums and base to make an awesome beat. I tapped my foot to the beat. Then in came Andy's voice. Oh my word. His voice was deep and a bit raspy but none the less anazing. I don't like Andy as a boyfriend cause we have been friends forever and I just cant imagine being with him. But I will not deny that that boy was drop dead gorgeous. With one look that boy could make ovaries explode.
Soon the singing was replaced with screaming. Now I'm not a big fan of screaming, but I have to admit it takes talent to do. Even when he was screaming he was good. I look over at Samantha. She had a frightened look on her face and was pushing back on the couch to try and distance herself. Ha wimp.
When the song ended, I was somewhat dissapointed. I wanted to hear more! I stood up and clapped. They all grinned and bowed.
"That. Was. Freaking. AWESOME!!" I yelled. Sam stood up and still had that same look on her face.
"Uh ok. I dont know what the hell that was. You call that music?" She said snobbishly.
"You know what Dam if we wanted your bitchy ass opinion we would have asked!" CC yelled at her. She scoffed offended.
"Ash are you just gonna stand there and let him talk to your girlfriend that way?!" She yelled at Ashley.
"I told you before Sam, I broke it off a while ago were not a couple anymore, your not my girlfriend, GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL!" He yelled irritated. She just stood there absolutely mortified. I giggled at her reaction. Her head snapped tword me.
"You shut your damn mouth. Nobody likes you bitch!" She yelled stomping twords me.
"Oh really thats why I was invited here and not you!" I laughed.
"Well at least I can land a boyfriend but nobody wants your ugly ass!" She shouts.
"Ok one, watch the language. Two I dont need a boyfriend to be happy. I got my friends and family, thats all I need," I said simply. She just gave me a cold stare and I stared right back at her with a happy confident one.
"Sam I think you need to leave," Jake said stepping out from behind his drum kit.
"Fine!" Sam yelled raising her hands. "Andy babe will you walk me home?" She twirled a pice of hair in between her fingers.
"Keep it in your pants," Andy replied with a straight face. I bursted out laughing. Sam had her mouth hung open and eyes wide. She stomped out of the garage. I could not stop laughing.
"That was a good one Andy!" I said in between laughs. He smiled and shook his head.
"Alright, now whos up for some drinks?" Asley said grabbing some beer. Everyone grabbed one. I could hear Robbies voice in the back of my head listing off teasond why I shouldn't drink.
"You're too young, drinking is bad for you, and if you get caught it could ruin your life!" He would say. As curiouse as I was, I did not grab one.
"Hey you guys really were awesome," I say sincerely.
"Thanks," they all reply at the same time.
We all just kind of just joked around for a while, it was pretty fun. The guys were really cool. Jake was extremely funny. He wasn't that bad looking either.
"And then I said: hey smartass, if I wanted to know how to make my hair look like I'm a walking melon head, I would have asked!" Jake finished a hilarious story. We all laughed for the thousandth time.
"Yo Kenna, your laugh is funny," Jinxx laughed.
"What do you mean?" I asked
"You sound like a squealing pig!" The rest of the group laughed while my face turned a light pink.
"Hey I think its a nice laugh, pigs are cool," Jake said making my face go red. The other guys just kind of looked at him weird. Andy broke the tension by starting another story. Soon it was time to go so we all put the equipment away and walked twords the van. As I was about to get in Jake stopped me by tapping my shoulder.
"Uh hey, I was um wondering, maybe we could like go out sometime. Your pretty cool and I want to get to know you a bit better if uh thats um okay with you," he said nervously. I thought it was absolutely adorable for asking me out. Jake was a pretty nice guy. Why not?
"Yeah totally, wheb do you want to " I smiled.
"How about next friday?" He asked. I agreed and gave him my nuber.
Ashley, who was now driving cause it was his van, dropped us off at our houses.
I kicked off my shoes and ran upstairs to my room. I almost screamed when I unexpectedly saw Robbie sitting on my bed staring at the door.
"What took you so long?" He asked.
" oh we were just um hanging out," I said.
"Did you drink?" Robbie asked suspiciously.
"No," I said somewhat suprised.
"Cause if you did drink then-"
"I didn't drink Robbie!" I cut him off.
"Okay just making sure," he said quietly. "Did you have fun?"
I smiled and nodded my head.
"I got a date with Jake on friday! "
Robbies eyes widened. "You what?!"
"I..got a..date... with.. um Jake," I said confused as to what his issue was.
"Are you kidding me you cant date him, hes a bad influence and he'll hurt you I know it!" He exclaimed.
"Hey your not the boss of me I can date who ever I want!" I yelled back at him.
"No! Makenna you are not going out with him!"
"WATCH ME!"
