Today, it's fifteen. Fifteen whole years since Jeongguk left the world. As you stand on that cliff, you look at the ocean, reminded of all the memories. Sure, it was a great source of joy when you grew up—you loved practicing your swimming there—and not to mention, Jeongguk came from it.
But you hate it. Absolutely loathe it. Except for when you visit that cliff to make sure he knows he's not forgotten, you steer clear of it completely, avoid it like the plague.
"Honey? You coming?" The oblivious voice, coming from the car parked a few meters away, breaks you out of your thoughts, and you wipe at a stray tear.
"Yeah, be there in a minute!" you call back as you observe the way the waves crash into the rocks below.
You never get over him.
