     "Boo!"

"AH!" Clarke jumped back and tripped over a tree root. "What the hell, Murphy?!"

Murphy was laughing his head off. The two had made their way out of the desert and had been looking for more wood to make a fire with for when night would fall.

"God, you're such a jerk!" The girl exclaimed, glaring at Murphy.

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry." He extended his arm to help her up.

"Don't be." She gave an evil grin, took his hand, and pulled him down.

"Woa-" Murphy called out as he fell. Now Clarke was the one laughing. Murphy smirked.

"Wow. I can't believe you just did that. What did I ever do to you?"

     "Shut up."

They got up and continued to walk through the woods. Soon enough, they came across a small river. Clarke let out a sigh of relief. "Yes! Water! Uh..." She looked around. "Just- Use your hands as a cup."

After they each got a drink, they sat on the shore of the river for a rest. They had been walking for a while now.

"How much longer until we get back to Camp Jaha?" Clarke asked, hoping Murphy knew. But he shrugged and shook his head.

     "No idea."

Clarke sighed. "You know what, I don't even care. I just never want to stand up again."

     Murphy nodded. "Yeah, same."

And they didn't. Clarke looked over at Murphy a while later. He was asleep, so Clarke looked around for any signs of danger. Then, she drifted off to sleep too.

"Clarke, wake up." Clarke opened her eyes, only to have water dripped into them. She immediately shut them, rubbed them, and then opened them again. It was sprinkling. "It's raining. I think there's a cave over there if you want to sleep some more." Clarke nodded, and Murphy lead the way over to the cave he saw.

They sat in the entrance against opposite walls. The mist felt good.

After a while, as Murphy predicted, Clarke fell asleep again. He stood up and started walking around outside, enjoying how the rain felt on his skin.

     But then came the storm.

Murphy was walking up the river and away from the cave when he heard the thunder. He stopped walking, turned around, and decided it was time to go back just as rain came crashing down from above. He looked up and tried to use his now stained-jacket as a shield as he ran back.

When he came back, Clarke was standing in the cave, soaking wet, just like him. She had her arms up and her jaw was dropped. She was clearly not happy about being soaked. She had probably been too close to the entrance of the cave when the flood from above hit. He ushered her farther back into the cave.

"I'd offer you my jacket, but I don't think it'd help right now." He said and held his jacket up. He wrung it out, and a bunch of water dripped down.

Clarke wiped her face and angrily flicked the water away. "Great. Now we're cold and wet."

"Well if it helps, we're not hot anymore." He tried. Then he saw her expression. "Right? No? Okay, no then."

"Murphy, I'm gonna tell you this once; You need to shut up. I'm not in the mood for jokes right now. I don't care if you were trying to lighten the mood, just shut up." Clarke snapped.

Murphy let the burn sink in. Then he looked away, nodded, and spoke. "Okay, I won't talk."

"Thank yo-" Clarke didn't have time to finish her sentence, though, before Murphy wrapped an arm around her waist and planted a kiss on her lips. When he pulled back, he had a stupid smirk on his face.

     "See? No words."

Clarke stood there, speechless. Her eyes were wide and her mouth dropped open once again.

"What's wrong, princess? That piss you off too?" He teased as he sat down on a ledge of rock that was sticking out of the wall.

"Sh- Shut up." Clarke said. "And don-"

"Don't do that again? Well I needed to retaliate somehow. Plus, you're cute when you're mad." He gave her another smirk, showing that he was having way too much fun watching her struggle for words.

And struggling she was. She wanted to be mad, but she felt happy. She didn't want to show that she liked it, but a blush was rising to her cheeks once again. After a frustrating moment of contemplation, Clarke gave up. She sighed and sat next to him.

     "What are we doing?"

"Acting like an old married couple."

     "Yeah, I guess."

Clarke looked at Murphy. When he felt her gaze on him, his view landed on her eyes. "What?"

Her icy stare fell to his lips.

     "Do it again."

Author's Note:

I'm so sorry I haven't updated! I've been really busy with a vacation that I went on, school starting up, and more.

I actually wrote this chapter the night after I wrote chapter 4. But I didn't like how it ended, so I decided to delete it and try something else. I must say that I like this ending much better.

BUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?!!?!?!??!?!

Stay tuned to find out ;]

Wow, there's still a lot that needs to be unraveled, isn't there? Hmm... What tricks do I have up my sleeve...?
