Uncle Josh Comes To Town

When Riley's uncle Josh visits and finds out about the faya situation how will he react?Can he help Maya make an important decision in her life?

It had been a few weeks since the talk with Farkle. And things were beginning to look up.

Riley's uncle Josh and the rest of her family were coming to town. I used to have a crush on Josh years ago (yes I called it a crush don't freak out), but now that I love Farkle (even though we aren't together) I still want to be single until I can be with him again. Josh doesn't know about me and Farkle, and I ain't sure how I will tell him, or even if I will or not. Im not sure how he will react.

It was the morning of New Years and I couldn't wait! I haven't really seen any of Riley's family in such a long time. But they all considered me famliy. The first time I met shawn (riley's dads best friend) I didn't think he was so great. We had a bit of a misunderstanding. But I did find out that we have ALOT in common. We both came from broken families, which he didn't want me to grow up like that.

I invited my mom to come, she still hasn't decided. Between not seeing her and being occupied about what to do with Farkle I haven't had the time to care. But she may drop by, she told me while locking the apartment door. I had just gotten done packing for the weekend. I was staying with Riley for new years. She already got everything ready. Sometimes I feel like I should just live there, considering how much time ive spent with them, they make me forget about my life for a while.

As I headed out to the door, I couldn't help but smile. I couldn't help thinking: "Im going home".

They say that home is where you feel like you belong, whether is someone or something. I think about it a lot now, and I have realized something. Riley's family is a home, but Farkle is MY home. Luckily he is coming for a while, him and his family.

I reached the Matthews house to see that I am the only one that has arrived. Which is no surprise. Riley is busy with the tree (they haven't taken it down yet, they wait until after Valentines Day is over, Riley likes to decorate the tree with hearts and stuff like that). Mrs.Matthews (Topanga) is in the kitchen making the dinner. Mr.Matthews is busy with all the decorations.

Hey maya!

Riley comes running up to me,.

"So, you excited for tonight?"

"Duh! I can't wait to see all of your family again."

"Including my uncle Josh?"

I noticed her parents look up at me for a second, curious.

"Riley, you know that I love Farkle and I want to be with him.....right?"

"ok maya, but the last time you saw uncle josh you jumped onto his back"

"ya, that was fun"

"Want to talk in my room?"

"um sure?"

"Bay window! Bay window right now!"

She literally dragged me into her room by the arm. What did she want to talk about anyways? There isn't anything to tell.

Riley's room had been decorated for a while. She changed the green and red sign above her bed from "Merry Christmas!" to "Happy New Year!". Riley was known for her epic decorations. Considering she usually decorated the entire house.

"So,what you wanna talk about Riles?"

"My uncle Maya."

'Riley, I told you, I love farkle and as soon as we are both agreed to be ready im going back to dating him".
