"It looks like it's going to rain." You frowned as you looked up at the sky. "Wasn't it sunny just fifteen minutes ago?"

Danielle shook her head with a smile and shrugged.

"Well, you know how this weather can be sometimes. It's sunny one second and pouring rain the next. We can start walking home if you want."

She took your hand back into hers as you nodded.

Though you hated the thought of going back home so soon since the two of you wanted to get some fresh air and enjoy a couple of hours out, you didn't want to get soaked from the rain especially since it wasn't as nice as it was a little bit ago as the tempature quickly dropped from the sun now being behind the dark grey clouds covering the sky now.

It also didn't look like it was going to be a light rain, something told you that it was going to downpour whenever the rain started coming down and you didn't want to get caught up in that if you didn't have to.

The house that you and Danielle recently moved into wasn't too far and would only take a few short minutes to get to.

But it felt further away than usual now.

You and Danielle started to talk about different things, like the new restaurant that you just went to a little while ago for the first time, and how amazing the food had been, and what you wanted to do when you got home.

However, you both froze when you heard a loud clap of thunder nearby.

It almost made you jump out of your skin.

"It's going to start raining soon." She said as she looked up at the sky, noticing that it was getting darker. "Come on."

Your feet moved a little faster as the two of you began to hurry home, hoping to get there before it started coming down.

But you weren't so lucky.

It started with a few raindrops falling against your skin, falling from the sky slowly at first.

But after only a few seconds, it started pouring and your clothes clung to your skin from how soaked you became.

"Oh, no!"

Danielle laughed as you two ran through the rain.

While you don't mind rainy days inside or a light rain when you're out, you hated this.

It was raining cats and dogs and now that the temperature had dropped, you were shivering from the cool air.

Thankfully, the house was in sight so you knew it wouldn't be too long.

"Hurry!" You said as you tried to pull Danielle towards the house.

But she started moving slower the closer you got, which left you confused.

"Danielle?" You said as she came to a complete stop.

She looked around and put her hands out, watching the rain fall against her palms with a smile.

"What's the rush?"

"It's cold!" You giggled. "Come on, let's get inside where it's warm and dry."

She shook her head and stepped closer to you.

"You know something that I've always dreamt of doing? Especially since meeting you?"

"What?" You asked.

"Kiss in the rain." She said and bit her lip before looking around. "Now's the perfect time for us to do that, if you want to."

Something about kissing in the rain seemed so romantic and you couldn't deny how much you loved the idea too.

She put her hand on your cheek, brushing away the drops of rain that fell against your skin.

No words were said as you stared into each other's eyes as the rain continued to pour down, possibly even harder than before.

She leaned in and the second your lips met, it felt like sparks were flying everywhere around you as you shared the most romantic and passionate kiss that you ever had.

It almost felt like you were in a romance movie as you stood in the rain, kissing the girl that you love so much, the one that you're certain is the love of your life.

It was so perfect and so romantic that it left you wishing the moment would never end, that you could stop time to stay here forever.

But the wind started to blow suddenly, which made you shiver in her embrace.

"Are you okay?" She asked as she pulled back, brushing a lock of hair behind your ear.

"I'm fine." You said and eagerly kissed her again, only to shiver once more.

"Poor baby, you're freezing, aren't you?"

She pulled you closer and kissed you once more, though it didn't last as long and wasn't as deep as her kisses had once been.

"Come on, let's go in. We'll change out of these clothes and get cozy in bed. We can cuddle and stay cozy and warm in there."

"Okay."

You didn't want to stop kissing as the rain continued to fall but you knew that you were getting too cold to stay out here any longer.

Besides, you could just kiss inside, under the covers while the rain falls against the roof, which sounded just as romantic.

As long as you were in her arms and could feel her soft lips against yours, you'd be happy, no matter what.
