Scene 2: The Guest House
(SOPHIA follows MATT to a door. MATT opens the door. SOPHIA and MATT walk into the dark guest house. MATT turns on the light. SOPHIA observes the place that has a bed, bathroom, food, and snacks. SOPHIA lays on the bed.)
SOPHIA: You don't have to do this.(Smiling and putting her head on the pillow.)
MATT: (Pulls the blanket up to SOPHIA'S chin.) Get some rest. You're safe here.
(MATT hands SOPHIA a piece of paper.)
MATT: (Cont.) Here's my number, text me. I'll be in my room. If you need anything, of course.
SOPHIA: (Smiling.) I can't thank you enough.
MATT: My pleasure. (Smiling, walking out of the house, and closing the door behind him.)
SOPHIA: (Laying on the bed that MATT is letting her sleep in. She goes on her phone and texts. She laughs and smiles uncontrollably. SOPHIA puts her phone on her chest.) Oh Matt, you're so sweet. (Giggling. Her phone busses, so she checks it. She rolls her eyes and types back.) Why is my ex-boyfriend always trying to get all up in my business? (Sighing.)
