Imagine Damon coming back to life after a year of him being gone.

This past year of your life has been horrible. Countless bottles of bourbon and sleepless nights. You've traveled to the ends of the earth to fined a witch that could bring the love of your life back.

You walked into the vacant house looking around. You walked around looking at all the pictures. There was a picture of a young couple. The guy had dark hair like Damon's and y/h/c like yours. You fall to the floor crying.
"Please come back to me." You bawl.
"I can't do this alone!" You yell punching the ground, cracking it.
You go through the cupboards looking for alcohol until you find vodka. You take the bottle and go plop on the couch, guzzling it down.

Damon's P.O.V
I watched y/n from the other side crying and drinking out of frustration.
I miss her more then I can put into words. She's still my life. I just wish I could hold her. I've been watching Stefan the past year too. He's been working just as hard as y/n. He's getting closer and closer everyday. I hope he can bring me back soon. I lost her but only temporarily. Only temporarily.

Your P.O.V
You head back home to Mystic Falls. Stefan called you saying there's things he needs me for. You get in my car and drive towards Virginia looking back at South Dakota, another dead end.

A couple hours later you arrive at the boarding house. Cars all in the drive way. "Is there a council meeting being held here or something?" You think to yourself before walking up to the house. You turn the knob and push the big door open.
"Stefan? Stefan were are you?" You yell
"Surprise!" Your friends scream.
Caroline, Matt, Tyler, Elena, Bonnie, Jeremy, Alaric, Liv, Luke and Stefan all have party hats on a.
"Oh yeah my birthday was 3 days ago." You say hugging your friends.
"Thanks stef, I needed this." You say to Stefan as he hands you a beer.
"The surprises aren't over yet."

You continue to celebrate by eating pizza and opening presents. Caroline brings out a cake with the numbers
1 5 and 3 on them. You laugh as they sing. "Even though she doesn't look a day over nineteeeeeen" Matt adds to the end of the song.
"Thank you guys" you say to your friends.
"Don't thank us." Tyler says
"Thank him" Elena adds pointing behind you. You turn around confused to see Damon.
"Oh my god Damon." You whisper vampire speed running to him.
You lunge on to him rapping your legs around his waist as he pulls your head into his shoulder.
"y/n I've missed you so much. I love you I love you I love you." He says into your hair.
"Damon oh my god you suck." You cry into him.
"Don't ever do that again. Promise?"
"Promise." He answers pulling you into his lips, kissing you like his life depended on it.

Awwww ok I might've cried while writing this but oh well. Xoxo
