Karson's P.O.V

Today is the day. I've spent all week un packing. We've recently moved to a new house. New house means new city. New city means new district. New district means... New school. And what better time to move than when there's only two months left of school. I have two months to make friends, so then I'll actually have people to hang out with in the summer. At my old school, I wasn't popular, but I wasn't nobody. I was friends with the popular people too. But now all that I've done to get there, is down the drain. Every drink I've drank, every class I've skipped, every guy I've teased. All for nothing. I mean, it was fun, all the numbers I've gotten. All the parties I've been invited to. But, I didn't want to be like that. And I know what your thinking. 'Well, why don't you keep in contact with them?' I would. But my mom recently discovered my deceiving ways and deleted all their numbers. What a great mom. My best friend told me before I left, that it should be easy for me to make friends- because I'm pretty. I don't want new friends because I'm pretty. I just want to start over and not get sucked into any drama.

"Here's to new starts" my mom said smiling, clinking her glass of orange juice with my dads. They were the type of fun loving parents, do what you want sorta parents. But sometimes what I did was too over board for their liking. As a 'First day of school' surprise my mom made a huge break fast. Normally I get a "Wake up Karson! School starts in 20 minutes!!" So, this was a nice surprise. Yesterday I went shopping for new clothes as part of my 'starting over'. I dyed my bleach blonde hair, down to a more natural dark brown, and down graded the amount of make-up I wear to just foundation, a bit of bronzer, lip gloss, mascara and eyeliner. Now trust me. That may seem like a lot, but its a huge difference! Today I was wearing short shorts and a blue and white striped long sleeve with a lace back, both from hollister. I slipped on a pair of leather flip flops and grabbed my Jansport back pack.

"Bye mom, Bye dad!" I say grabbing the keys to my car and blowing them both kisses.

"Have a good first day, hun!" My mom called out. I'll settle for the day going well. Good was too high of expectations. I hoped in my car and turned the radio up. I pressed a button that made the hood go down, yes. I have a Mustang Convertible. So much for not being preppy right? It was my 16th birthday present, I can't not except it. And either way, it was gorgeous. As I drove down the street with my Little Mix CD blaring through speakers, I couldn't help but notice the envious glares I was getting. I just smirked to myself and continued down the road. As I pulled up to a stop light, I couldn't help but notice the gorgeous black Jeep that stopped beside me. I slightly pulled down my sunglasses- that I subconsciously put on- and looked at the car as they roll down their window. As the faces in the car became more clearer I couldn't help but smirk. There was four gorgeous guys sitting in the car. The one driving looked like one of those friendly jocks. He had a short fro- hawk and was on the more adorable side. The one sitting in the front passenger seat had a black quiff and stunning eyes. He just smirked as I check him out. The next guy, who was sat in the back seat had a bleached blonde quiff with brown roots. He was the definition of perfect. His blue eyes lit up as he laughed along with the gorgeous girl sitting next ti him. She had tan skin, straight brown hair that reached under her collar bone and big beautiful eyes. From what I could tell she was the next boy's girlfriend- as his much larger hand interlocked with her smaller, manicured one. He had curly brown hair, that could almost be a shag, pushed off to the right. His dimples on show as the girl focussed her attention on him, as he slowly leaned in and gave her a sweet peck on the cheek.

"Where you heading?" The guy in the driver seat smirked.

"Forest Heights" I reply loudly over my music.

The boy smirks again. I swear. That smirk will be the death of me. "We're headed there too. If you need to just follow me" he suggested. "I think I'm good. But thanks" I wink and speed off as the light turns green.
