That had been one busy day. I was in my room, lying on my bed, staring at the ceiling. I was sonoo but could not sleep. A lot was going through my head.
It was late at night. Early hours, to be exact. Cair Paravel was completely silent. I could even hear wind noise, from time to time.
I decided to get up and take a walk through the castle, since I could not sleep. I left the room quietly, trying not to make any noise, and went downstairs. I went to the dining hall. That's when I saw Sophia was there too. She was sitting in the chair with her arms on the table, and was reading a book. She seemed immersed in the reading.
I had not approached and she had not noticed me.
I watched her for a minute. Her curly hair shone and her face white as snow brought serenity to me. How could be so beautiful? I found myself smiling. I shook my head and walked over to Sophia. Then she noticed me.
- Also cannot sleep? - I sat next to her.
- Yup.
- What are you reading?
- Old stories about Narnia. I picked up in the library. There're many books here!
- Yes. Caspian loves to read! - I said. - So, are you liking the reading?
- Certainly! ... This place is amazing, Edmund!
I could not help but smile at the excitement of her when speaking of Narnia.
She paused for a few seconds. Then said:
- You know, I know it sounds silly and pointless, but I feel like I already love this place and the people here despite being here for just one day!
- Maybe your heart was made for Narnia, for Aslan ...
- How he is? - She said, her eyes shining.
We stayed talking for over an hour about Aslan. Then we went to sleep. I took Sophia to her bedroom door, then I went to mine.
Fortunately, I was able to sleep.

That morning, I missed breakfast. I was up late because I was really tired. A servant faun had taken a separate breakfast for me in the room. I ate, changed clothes and went downstairs.
- Good morning!
I turned and saw Sophia.
- Good morning! Slept well? - I asked.
- Yes, but not for long. And you?
- Yes, I did. I could not come unglued from the bed.!
She giggled.
- What do you mean with "but not for long"? - I asked.
She called me aside.
- Edmund, I had a strange dream. I saw a lot of blood and swords scattered on the floor. We were both in the dream and Caspian as well. Someone else was, but I could not see very well who it was.
- What happened in the dream?
- Well, the dream was short, but I saw Caspian lying on the floor, looked hurt. The other person I do not know who it was, was saying something, but do not remember what.
- Um ... And what about us?
- Well ... the only thing I remember was that ... we were holding hands. - She said, a little embarrassed.
