We were welcomed by the King of Archenland. He was so honored to have us, he was so happy.

So, Sophia and I was going to sleep there in the castle by the time we would stay at Anvard.

By morning, the King made a pronunciation from his castle, for all the people to hear.

 - My very loved people. Today is not an ordinary day. The rumors are real. For Aslan's grace, we have the honor to see a king of old. KING EDMUND, THE JUST!!

I showed up, with Sophia behind me. I signed. People were astonished, I could see in their faces.

 - Thousands of years ago, more than I can imagine, this place and its people saw me. And it amazes me. But for many of you, it can be a little strange, moreover, I am young. But I have seen much, I have fought wars, for the whole Narnia, for Archeland. I rejoice in the opportunity of being with you here again. I always knew that I loved this place, but now, this love is growing and growing. May Aslan's breath be among us. Among Archenland!

And then, their started to scream and to rejoice and to wave. My heart was so grateful!

 - Oh, I can feel their happiness, Edmund! - said Sophia in my ear.

Just to think that I was in front of a whole new generation that have never seen me before... It's crazy!

 - We only have heard about your Majesty and your siblings. We always talk about the Kings and Queens of old to our children and grandchildren and on and on. And, now, we could not be more happy! - says the King Nain to me.

 - Oh, - he continued, now looking to Sophia. - I'm sorry. I didn't introduce you for the people...

 - It's alright. I understand. They are so euphoric! So joyful.

 - Yes, they are. It is a pleasure to have you here, my king. - he said looking at me again.

 - The pleasure is totally mine! - I said.

 - Well, come in. - he said. - I want, you and your friend to feel yourselve at home, because in truth it is your home! And here, you are the Greatest King. Not above above the Almighty Aslan, but your Majesty knows what I mean.

 - I cannot be more grateful! Thank you for all your gentleness.

 King Nain bown, and left.

I turned to Sophia, and I saw her looking at me with a big smile.

 - What? - I asked.

 - You are so good at this!

 - Good at what?

 - At being king.

 - Ok, I'm being highly praised today. Best everybody stop with it, for the common good. You will not want to see my ego grow.

   She giggled.

"Oh, I love when she giggles!"

 - So, what are you going to do now? - she asked.

 - Um... I want to talk to the people, face to face. Listen to them, be with them. Do you want to join me?

 - Yeah, I would love to! - she said, smiling.

We went to talk to the people. I heard more than twice elders saying: "I've heard a lot from my parents, that heard from their parents, that heard from their parents... stories about the Kings and Queens of old...". I heard more than twice children saying to their parents: "He is so young!", and things like that.

Sophia was enjoying just like me. Sometimes, people thought she was a queen of old too, and I had to explain.

And it was just like this for the next days. And it was getting better and better. Sophia and I was getting closer and closer...

Fourth day at Anvard, and we did the same. We went to talk to the people. We did it for some hours, we just forgot to come back to eat along with the King.

 - Are you hungry? - I asked Sophia.

 - Starving!

 - Me too. Um... Wait, I had a idea.

We were a bit distant from the castle. So, I got a sheet, and a few things to eat. The people gave a little help.

 - There is a beautiful and quiet place near by, with a lake and everything... Let's go!

   Sophia followed me.

When we arrived, we straightened the sheet on the grass and we seated on it, to eat something.

 - Oh, I love picnics! - she said.

   I laughed.

Was so quiet there. While we were eating, birds were singing. So peaceful...

 - Do you hear it? - Sophia asked

 - The birds?

 - Yes. They are sing... looks like a song.

 - Actually, I hear it too.

 - Reminds me of song that my father used to dance with me every time we heard this song.

We stood quiet for a minute, just to hear it.

 - Come on! - she said, standing up.

 - What?

 - Let's dance!

 - Um...

 - Please, just like my father and I.

 - Ok! - she got me by the hand.

We were barefooted, with our feet in the soft grass.

We started to dance and, some minutes after, the birds just stopped singing. The "song" was over, but we stand dancing.

 - I don't know about you but, for me, we could stay here doing this all day. - she said, with that sparkle in her eyes.

 - As long as I'm with you... - I said, thinking out loud.

She froze, looking into my eyes.

   We stopped dancing.

 - Ed...

 - Shhh...

I leaned in, and kissed her.

I looked her in the eyes, and couldn't say nothing. Then, she leaned in to kiss me back, but we were interrupted.

 - Majesty?!

 - Yes? - I said, as a centaur showed up.

 - I come here with bad news.

I felt my heart stopping for a second, and I felt Sophia strongly holding my hand.

 - Cair Paravel is ruined.
