A heavy sigh left Natsu's both as he followed Gray down another hallway identical to the last, "what's wrong now?"
"I wanted to see more of Lucy in that outfit, she looked so cool and-and different."
"You liiiikkkkkeee her!" Gray imitated Happy before bursting into laughter at the scowl on Natsu's face, "oh come Natsu it isn't that-"
Gray stopped dead in his tracks, something wasn't right and it seemed Natsu could feel it as well because his eyes were darting around the corridor.
"What should we do?" Gray whispered to Natsu.
"'I'm all fired up, let's go find it."A shiver ran down Gray's back as the boys followed the feeling of powerful magic.

Lucy wasn't happy, her clothes were itchy and made her look fat and her wig was making her clammy.
"Girl! Mop the floor!"
Lucy sighed heavily and trundled over to the mop sending a heavy glare to the fat, small head chef with short grey hair and a permanent scowl.
"Yes Ma'am."
Lucy worked quickly mopping up the dirty floor and just when she was about to finish the mop fell from her hands. Goosebumps erupted along her skin as she fought a shiver that ran up and down her spine.
Lucy stood still for a couple of seconds thinking of what to do and in the end she asked herself what Natsu would say if he was with her,
'I'm all fired up, let's go find it.'
So Lucy left the kitchen and walked into the palace to find what she assumed was the emerald. It was an awful feeling walking towards something that felt so dangerous, like swimming towards a shark or putting your head in a lions' mouth. Lucy fought back the urge to run away and continued on her way praying she would bump into her friends so she would be safe.

Erza tilted her face to the sun as she pulled off her glasses and sat down against an old sakura tree, her eyes shining in the sun.
There had been this nagging feeling she had encountered the second they had set foot outside the palace and she didn't like it one bit.
But taking into account that neither Natsu nor Gray had felt it Erza shoved it into a deep corner of her mind to stay there hoping to find the emerald as soon as possible.
A groan left Erza's mouth as her eyes snapped open, she could feel a strong magic "hum" from inside the palace. She closed her eyes wondering if she could narrow the location but it wasn't working and Erza knew that she didn't time to waste, so leaping to her feet Erza quickly made her way to the palace where she bumped into a pair of familiar looking butlers in the kitchen.

Fuyu was annoyed. She hated royalty, especially this family. Only a few hundreds years ago they were known for killing all who did not worship them, decorating their crowns with the deaths of the innocent.
Fuyu gritted her teeth and watched the princess in front of her walk to the library. Fuyu was not going to hide the annoyance she had for the royal family but Hisui seemed like a true princess. One that could free the family from their inheritance of evil.
Hisui suddenly stopped and turned to look at Fuyu who's eyes were scrunched shut and fingers pressing at her temples.
"This is awful. What's that sound? It's like radio interference."
"It's the emerald! Fuyu, please follow the feeling and you'll find it."
Fuyu looked at Hisui who's green eyes were now directly in front of hers and frowned. She had been feeling this way for a while but it has just gotten more intense.
"Princess Hisui! Fuyu!" Lucy shouted from down the hall, and from the opposite side came Natsu, Gray and Erza.
Fuyu smiled slowly finally understanding what had happened.
"Hello everyone, it's lovely to see you but may I ask why you are here in the first place?"
"I followed this bad feeling to here!" Lucy exclaimed and then looking around she caught sight of the library doors and grinned, "it must be in a book."
The others all nodded their heads in agreement and as they were about to open the doors Fuyu finally spoke up, "are you sure it's in a book? Or in the library at all?"
They all turned to look at her and instead watched a smirk stretch across her face and her eyes shimmer with amusement and knowledge.
"Hisui. When was the last time you saw the emerald?"
"Well I put it on the cabinet when I sleep and then one morning it wasn't there when I awoke."
"So it's under your cabinet!" Natsu exclaimed but Fuyu shook her head in disagreement.
"Do you know why the emerald is magic?"
"Um no. I just know that it's been passed on for generations."
"Well the legend is that it's magic because a very powerful sorcerer implanted a piece of his very soul into it to give your ancestor the power to control others. But that's just the legend, I read it in a book in the Fairy archives."
Placing a hand into Hisui's pocket she pulled the stone out and handed it to her.
"Something you want to say?"
Hisui looked shocked and then her eyes began to water before her features settled on being impassive, "I'm sorry everyone. I will still pay you the reward, in fact I will triple it for the trouble I have caused you."
"Wait. You knew where it was?"
"No. I'm just truly embarrassed by the fact that I'd subconsciously put it in my pocket and forgotten. I'm ashamed truly."
Lucy, Gray, Natsu and Erza sent looks between each other in shock and disbelief and just as Natsu opened his mouth Fuyu started laughing.
"Why are you laughing? Do you find humour in my embarrassment?" Hisui asked her eyes wide with shock.
"Yes! But now I have faith in you to save your family. In truth I placed the emerald in your pocket, I found it on the floor under the cabinet in your room, an then snuck it in your pocket. I'm very sorry Hisui but it's only payback."
Now the team was staring at her and Hisui looked close to screaming.
"You did what?"
"It was a little prank, keep your tiara on missy."
"You shall address me as princess and bow before your next in line."
"Make me."
Hisui's face turned bright red in fury and before she could shout at Fuyu she started laughing, hysterically.
"I like you Fuyu. You saved me from ending up an arrogant princess, I want to be a queen of the people not a tyrant." Fuyu beamed at Hisui.
"No Hisui I still apologise. It was quite a sick joke but, and this is no excuse, I wanted to see what the new queen was made of. My sincerest apologies." Fuyu slightly bowed her head before looking back up beaming.
"Please come back to my room so I can pay you all."
Once the team had been paid and waving goodbye to the princess in their normal attire on an air current did Erza finally ask Fuyu a question that had been on her mind for a bit.
"Where did you really find the emerald?"
