I once heard a quote which became my life motto. It says:"Do not judge me. You can not handle half of what I have dealt with. There is a reason I do things I do, there is a reason I am who I am." I can not remember who said it, but whoever it was he or she had gone through much in their life.
I and my little brother did not have the life we should have. From a young age I believe that we are not the only one in space and always talk about it to the only person I trust, my brother. He never judged me and always agreed with me. About my parents, it is not like I do not trusted them, but I do not know why I could not talk to them about it, now it is too late. I remember the day of their disappeared , it was their 18th anniversary, 20th May. They went to their favourite resturant and my brother and me stayed at home. He was 12 and went early to bed because he was exited about his class trip the next day and I, 16 years old then, studied for my exams to get into med school. You could say it is a family tradition to skip two school years. Anyway, it was around midnight when I decided to go to bed wondering why my parents are not back yet, they usually call when they will be late. As I finished my routine I heared the phone ring and got the messege from a police officer that at the resturant where my parents where was a exposion and they found only their wallets and mom's purse. No bodies, no clothes, nothing.
That destroyed me and my brother who had heard the call and most of the conversation. After the funeral we did not know where to go, we did not have grandparents and our relatives did not wanted to take us in. They wanted money from the heritage, they did not get anything it went all to us, we payed all the funeral and organized it, mostly me I could not let my brother buy the caskets.
After the funeral, which took all the money we had, a man around the age of my parents 36 years came to us, I am not sure but I had a feeling that I know him for my whole life, he introduced himself as James Salliven a friend of our parents. He showed us a contract from our parents that we can live with him if something happen to them. Nowhere else to go we went to live with him and found ourselves from Berlin in London, good think we know how to talk english, he even give us the money for the funeral back. From then on our house in Berlin became the holiday home and we lived in a nice house in London together with James Salliven and his wife Monika Salliven. We continued school there and I got into a med school and get a degree for an army doctor and at the age of 20 I work now as a coroner for the scotland yard, which I got after my army doctor degree. My brother has now his exams and he want to become a lawyer like our parents were. He is 16 now. Life is hard but we are sure that one day our family will be together again. James worked in one of London's best bank and Monika is a teacher at the high school where my brother goes. I forgot to tell you our names. My brother's name is Paul how everyone calls him and my name is Vivian. Our last name did not change it is Chantzi.
