This is a first, I don't know what to do...

Why the hell were my pack members attacking themselves? We normally had contests but nothing as vicious as this fighting brawl. I heard a tremendous growl to my left an saw my brother and sister fighting. Nath bit into Mariah's leg, she didn't even cry out  she just flung back her head and head butted him then bit into his shoulder. I moved to stop them and I felt something over whelming me. I shook my head. It felt as though someone was trying to drill their way inside my head. The feeling was unpleasant. It was then something snapped to me. This is dark magic. Someone had used  it to ensnare my pack. I growled loudly but they didn't stop. I called for Rachel.

"Someone has used dark magic on the pack. I need you here now to counter it. they won't listen to me and they're tearing themselves apart. I'm frozen and they're trying to control me too."

"I'm on my way, baby. Hold on" she said.

I tried to move but couldn't. I growled but no one responded to me. I'm their Alpha, what the hell is going on? said Midnight. She was raging inside me, begging to be free to show them to have respect. To tear them apart for their blatant disregard for me. Some of the younger fighters were getting seriously hurt but the more experienced pack fighters. My brother and my sister were breathing heavily and were blooded, but yet they continued.

I didn't know what to do. I felt weak. There was an unseen touch that brushed my mind. You are weak ,dear. Why lead a pack when you can't even protect it? A pack member lunged for me and my wolf pushed him away. I was right at the edge. I was getting ready to change. The human side, the more rational side stopped me. If I changed I'd hurt them or even kill them.

But if you don't then they're gonna kill themselves. The voice was coaxing me to change.

I'm an Alpha sworn to protect and guide my people, not kill them. I cannot change. My wolf raged and I struggled against her prohibiting her from changing. This magic felt similar to me, like one Rachel had used on me when I was angry. She enchanted me and made me calm down. I wasn't a witch but if  I didn't do something pack members could die. And it would be your fault. Yes, it would be my fault. At the end of my change I had gotten tremendous powers. So I was not weak. I was strong. I wasn't a witch but due to the extent of the powers I gained I could do some spells one being a protective spell. An idea clicked to me.

I was trained to do a protective spell. I would not be conquered by whatever this was and I would protect my pack. I had always kept the gems and stone Rachel had given to me in case of anything.

I remembered keenly the instructions Rachel had given me. I pushed against the hold on me by the invisible force. I envisioned every single pack member that was here fighting. If they wouldn't listen and I couldn't change to command them then I'd form a protective barrier around them to protect them from  themselves.

Rachel's instructions came rushing back to me:

If you find yourself being attacked or otherwise influenced by an otherworldly spirit or entity, you must seek protection. This is a three-stage process to rid yourself of the unwanted beings and protect yourself. She opened her hands and gave me two gemstones. "You can use these stones in your spell ", she gave me an emerald stone and a bloodstone,"or if you have Black Tourmaline, Agate, Labradorite, Black Onyx or Peridot. Those can be used as well."

"The next step will be to surround yourself with a shield of protective light. This comes from within, and you can conjure it up yourself through meditation."

"You do realize I'm not a witch you know. I can't form a protective light shield thingy," I whinned.

"Did you know in the same way you can change a human to a werewolf like what you did with Kira, witches do not have to be born, some are made, others are taught. With you my dear its the latter. You may not be the best but I want you to be able to protect yourself.

Begin each day with sitting down in a quiet space for five minutes, visualising a bright bubble of light around you, reaching about an arm's length away from your body. Make it any colour you feel comfortable with.

Repeat the following words: "I surround myself with a shield of protection. I am safe within my space." Feel the light emanating from you, growing brighter with each deep breath. It is strong and controlled, vibrating at a high frequency. No evil spirit can penetrate this force field.

Finally, ask your spirit guides, guardian angels and the God and Goddess to protect you."

I  felt the light emitting from me and I tried to visualize a light around each and every pack member . I could do this I had the power. I wouldn't allow my pack to fall like this. Fall by their own hands.

"You will then need to cleanse the space where you sense the negative intrusion. Say these words:

"Any unwanted spirits and entities, please leave now.

Any evil or negative energies or presences, please leave this space.

You don't belong here. I am sending you home.

Go back whence you came. Please leave NOW.

Only light and healing energy is allowed in here."

Repeat these or similar words until you feel satisfied.

I chanted the words over and over. I felt the anger lifting from each individual and a calm begin to descend unto them.

"When you're ready, close your circle. Keep your gemstones near you as often as you can." I held mine in my hands.

" Whenever you feel like there might be a negative presence, take deep breaths (which strengthens your aura), try to remain calm, visualise the light bubble around you, and ask your guides/angels to stay near and keep you safe."

Everyone shook their heads as if just coming out of a trance.

"What the hell happened?" my sister groaned and slumped on the ground.

"You were attacked by a witch," Rachel said as she ran to us.
