Sarah's POV
I wake up with the bright light of the sunrise hitting on my still closed eyes, but I keep them shut. My head starts hurting as I remember lots of flashbacks from yesterday. My father and mother punishing me, my mother crushing my iPod, myself sited on some apartment' stairs and singing through the heavy rain, the strange boy helping me and how I ended where I am now. So many things happened in just one night, it's hard to believe it all. My face still hurts a little (those punches and slaps were really strong), but what hurts the most is remembering the moment when my iPod was destroyed. Even if it is all broken, I saved it on my bag. I tried to avoid it, but the pain of remembering that moment breaks my heart again and tears start felling from my eyes, which were still closed. It's such a dark feeling knowing that I'll never make a friend or be myself, but it is even harder to loose the only thing, the only person who can somehow, give me such powerful hope and strength that I need in every day of my life. It's really hard to accept this lost.
I whip the tears away and I slowly open my eyes. They are still a bit watered, but I close and open them a few times, letting me able to see where I am thanks to the day light, but still I feel a bit lazy and weak, so I almost don't move.
The first thing I saw was a big television in the wall in front of me. But then I moved my head a little and found that huge wall full of framed pictures. The first one I saw coughed my attention: it had a black and white picture of a familiar woman with heavy red lips and disheveled white hair. I immediately recognized that picture, but I wasn't really sure if it was what I though it was. But my doubts disappeared when I saw the words on it's left top. That wasn't a picture. It was a cover. An album cover. My jaw dropped with surprise and my hand covered it.
- "Born This Way". - I whisper.
That was Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" album cover. When I used my iPod, before choosing an album or a song, the title and covers of her albums appeared. That one was "Born This Way" for sure. And on its left, there were two others album covers: the closer one had another black and white picture of her, with straight short hair with fringe, and her hand was holding part of her dark outfit, covering her mouth with it.
- "The Fame Monster".
And the other that was on "The Fame Monster"'s left had Lady Gaga's face with her eyes covered by a pair of big glamorous glasses, the left side glowing with some kind of crystals that were on it.
- "The Fame".
At "Born This Way"'s right, was herself naked and sited, covering her chest with her hair and hands, and a big blue orb covering the middle of her legs.
- "ARTPOP".
And finally, the last one, which was on "ARTPOP"'s right, had the singer wearing a big black glamorous curly wig and holding an old man's hand, who was smiling. Tony Bennett.
- "Check To Check".
And under every each of them, is the pictures of each album's back cover. I look at all those pictures, mesmerized. I push myself and sit on the couch, without taking my eyes off that wall. What is that? Why are all those pictures there? Why does the boy have this on his house? Can it be? Can he really be a Lady Gaga's fan too? But that's not possible. I never ever found or met one.
I hear someone knocking at the door and steps coming from the hall. I quickly lay down on the couch again to pretend I'm still sleeping. I peek and see the boy going next to the door, but he doesn't open it.- Code? - he asks.
- Two, eight, three, one, nine, eight, six. - someone answers. I don't understand what is going on there. Why is the boy asking for a code? Is this place secret?
He opens the door, confirming that the answer that the person outside gave was correct. But it wasn't just one person. When he opened the door, many people enter and say hello to him. I decide to count them. They are six. I hope no one sees me. I don't know why, but I just don't want them to find me. I'm laying on the big couch and they are all behind it, not very far from me, happily chatting.
