I walked down stairs that Saturday. It has been 2 weeks since Dad's funeral. Mom still wasn't any better. Daniel was at training in Port Hueneme. Aiden was off at North Carolina University. I walked down stairs, Mom surprisingly was on the couch drinking coffee talking to Grandma May. I heard a baby cry. My nephew Ryan cry, and Brittany rushing to get him to be quiet. I looked outside Quinn and James where playing baseball. I put on shoes and walked outside Tank followed me. I say in the porch and thought to Dad.
Dear Daddy.
If I could describe today it would be progress. Your grandson was born Ryan Jeffery McCoy. He was born on your birthday to! Today he turns 1 week old. Mom got out of bed. She was smiling and drinking coffee talking to Grandma. Quinn and James are the biggest stooges just like always. I'm doing... Well fine I have Tank and Josh my (even though you wouldn't like this word) boyfriend... I'm sorry I haven't written but I know your safe.
Love you always
Rianne Gabrielle McCoy

"You may kiss your bride" The pastor said. No it's not my wedding. It's my mothers. Mom remarried to Sargent Luke Kelly. I'm the maid of honor dressed in purple. "MAY I INTRODUCE FOR THE FIRST- SECOND TIME. MR AND MRS. LUCAS KELLY" everyone including me clapped. "Auntie Ry" Ryan called I turned around to face my 3 year old nephew. "Yes sir" I ask kneeling down
"Can you take me potty" I nod and take him. On the way I pass Aiden and his 7 month pregnant wife Christina.
"Hi Cris" I wave walking Ryan to the potty. James was talking to Lucas. Quinn was with Shiloh... Yes Shiloh came back and is Quins girlfriend now. Josh and I had to split ways. He got a full ride to Texas A&M and I and going to Virginia Tech. Long distance didn't work so well for us. Ryan now all better ran off to go see his mom and little sister Hannah Lee. Freddie my now 7 year old sister ran up to me,
"Rianne? Are we sisters"
" Yes yes we are"
"Yay!" She squealed then ran off to go find someone to play with.
Some how through the pain and the ups and downs I found a way. Watching my ever growing family. I found my strength the thing that kept me going. The thing that kept me....
Strong.
