Chapter Four - A Special Place
Lunch passed by quickly, and as the bell rung throughout the campus, students stood and started heading to their respective classes.
I said bye to Anna, Blake, and Mila because they're not in my next period.
It's my first day of school and some people are already giving hi's and hello's my way. It felt awkward. Considering you're new, and people greets you like they've known you forever. I wonder why?
I started to head to my locker as fast as I could to get the books I need for the afternoon but I don't know where my locker is, and that I haven't put anything on it yet so I just decided to go to my next class, which is History. Oh no, wait. I don't know where the History class is.
I'm almost thirty minutes late and still, I don't know which way to go. I have a phone, but I don't have Anna's number. I have Andrew's, but I was hesitant because he might think that I can't take care of myself.
This place is huge, like literally. Four floors, a lot of hallways, corridors and classrooms. No wonder I'm lost.
"Skipping class, princess?" A masculine and a very sexy voice said.
I turned around and saw Andrew with his ever so present smirk. I looked away the second our eyes met to hide the blush that I think, is very noticeable at the moment.
"I got lost on my way to History class," I responded, "Can you bring me there?"
"You're already 40 minutes late. Class ends in 15 minutes," he paused, "You won't learn a thing."
I looked at him, "but--"
He put his index finger on my lips to cut him off. I felt sparks.
What is happening?
Before I can speak again, he was already dragging me by my hands towards the school entrance, which is now the exit because we're going out. See what I did there?
"Wait! Where are we going!?" I asked.
"I'd have to kill you if I tell you," he said.
"Please!!!" I pleaded, "Don't kidnap or kill me!"
He smirked, "Relax. I won't kidnap you nor kill you. I'll just show you something."
"I'm such a naughty girl. First day of school and is already skipping classes. Mom is going to kill me," I muttered under my breath.
"What was that?"
"Uh, nothing!"
He lead me to his ferrari and I sat in the passenger seat while he was behind the steering wheel.
I prayed silently in my mind that he was going to drive slowly this time. As he started driving to the unnamed place, it was as if my prayers were answered. He drove within the speed limit. Maybe he learned something from my hysterical shouting earlier this morning. Ha-ha!
The whole time that we were driving, it was silent. The silent though, was not uncomfortable nor awkward. It was the silence that brings out comfort. I felt safe and protected in the silence. It was as if Andrew was my guardian angel and as long as his presence is there, I'm safe.
The silent yet comfortable drive was two hours long and in the first hour, I was already getting antsy in my seat. We passed a long stretch of trees that covered the sides of the road. There were no houses in sight and it looks like we are already out of town.
