TAYLOR'S P.O.V
I wake up in the morning extremely tired from the lack of sleep I got last night. It's only 7:30. I listen for sounds of anyone else awake in our hotel room but I can't hear anything so I go back to sleep.
The next time I wake up its 8:45 and I can hear Austin singing - well, ATTEMPTING to sing - in the shower. I decide to get up. Yawning, I walk into the kitchen and put some bread in the toaster and flick the jug on.
"Hello sweetie, how'd you sleep?"
I jump at the sudden noise and turn around to see my mum standing there in her dressing gown, smiling at me. She laughs when she sees me jump.
"Ugh, I had a bad dream and couldn't get back to sleep and I woke up really early but other than that I slept pretty well," I said. She just nods, too busy engrossed in the newspaper to even listen to what I'm saying, let alone care.
"That's nice, dear."
I roll my eyes.
"Look, darling, there's an article in the newspaper about you!" I look over her shoulder and sure enough, in the middle of the newspaper, there is a very small article with the headline GIRL LOST IN MIDDLE OF NOWHERE IN ZOO.
"That headline doesn't even make sense!" I laugh.
"Well what'd you expect honey, its the newspaper!"
We're still laughing when my dad walks in to the lounge area. "What are you two laughing about?"
We both point to the headline in the newspaper and after reading it he starts laughing as well. Soon Austin walks in, with a towel around his waist and his hair dripping because he can't be bothered to dry it.
"What's so funny?" He asks. We all stop laughing and look at him with a straight face.
"Nothing," we say in unison. We look at each other and collapse into giggles again.
Austin shakes his head and walks into the kitchen, muttering about how immature his family is and how he's positive he's adopted.
"Well, what should we do today?" asks Mum when we're all sitting down and eating breakfast.
"Well Adam told me about this Scotland tourist museum that we should definitely visit. It's just down the road from the zoo apparently," I say.
Austin giggles. "Taylor and Adam, sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"
I glare at him. He's supposed to be 13 but he acts like he's about 7.
"Well, it's not my fault that my family left me in the middle of the zoo and let me get lost!"
"Yes, it is. You shouldn't have been so engrossed in those stupid animals."
"They're not stupid!"
"Yes they are!"
"No, they're not!"
"Yes, th-"
"Stop it right now, you two or none of you will be doing anything for the rest of the trip," warns Dad.
We both fold our arms and shoot evil eyes at each other.
"It's your fault for wandering off anyway," he whispers "Everyone knows your supposed to stay where you are if you get lost and just call for help. If you move than you just get more lost. Which," he smirks "is exactly what you did."
"I did call, you idiot," I whisper back.
"Yeah, for your little BOYFRIEND."
"He's not my boyfriend!"
