CHARACTERS & THEIR RESIDENCES IN SINGAPORE (Story World Overview)

Note: This list contains the major characters introduced at the start of the story. Additional characters may appear as the narrative progresses and will be introduced naturally within the story when relevant.

Jai Srinivasan, Mani Subramanian, and Dharmesh Mehta are affluent Singaporean businessmen, lifelong friends since childhood, and trusted business partners.

Main Lead

Samarth Raghavan Mehta aka Sam (Age 29)
Born and raised in Singapore, Samarth Raghavan Mehta is the perfect blend of charm, discipline, and quiet depth. A successful businessman who eventually took over his father's empire, Sam is also a trained Hindustani classical singer and a passionate sportsman who has always balanced ambition with humility. Coming from a Gujarati father (Dharmesh Mehta) and Tamil mother (Usha Raghavan), Sam has beautifully embraced both sides of his heritage with immense pride-equally at home with vibrant Gujarati traditions and the deeply rooted musical and cultural influence of his maternal Tamil family. He speaks & understands both the languages smoothly. He carries his surname "Raghavan Mehta" as a reflection of both worlds that shaped him into the man he is today. Loved by almost everyone he meets, Sam appears effortlessly put together, but beneath his composed exterior lies a man capable of loving deeply, loyally, and silently.

Amritha Srinivasan aka Ammu (Age 28)
Amritha Srinivasan is warmth, ambition, and softness wrapped into one unforgettable soul. Born and raised in Singapore to a well-respected old Singaporean Tamil family, Ammu feels deeply grateful for the life she has built there and proudly considers herself a true Singapore patriot. She adores everything about the country she calls home-the safety, diversity, discipline, and opportunities it offers-and never takes that privilege for granted. A content writer by profession and travel blogger by passion, she loves discovering hidden places, telling stories through her writing, and exploring the world with childlike wonder. She finds peace in music, cooking, meaningful connections, and quiet moments of reflection. Alongside her deep love for Singapore, Ammu dreams of building strong ties with Japan through language and culture, often jokingly calling herself a "Singaporean Nihonjin" as she works toward creating a life that beautifully blends both worlds.

SAM'S FAMILY

Dharmesh Mehta
Samarth's father, Dharmesh, is a highly respected and powerful businessman in Singapore and one of Jai and Mani's closest childhood friends turned business partners. Known for his discipline, sharp business acumen, and intimidating exterior, Dharmesh often comes across as stern and unapproachable to outsiders. However, those closest to him know he is a deeply fair, principled, and generous man who values integrity above everything else. He loves his family fiercely and quietly plays one of the biggest roles in shaping Sam's future.

Usha Raghavan Mehta
Samarth's mother, Usha, comes from a deeply rooted musical Tamil family and has played a major role in nurturing her children's love for music. A trained singer herself, she is graceful, wise, warm, and emotionally intelligent. Despite belonging to an affluent household, she remains incredibly grounded and family-oriented. After Sam and Sejal grew older and became independent, Usha resumed teaching Carnatic music-something she had paused for years while raising her family. With constant encouragement from Dharmesh, Sam, Sejal, Deena, her brother and family who are based in Dubai, she rebuilt that part of her identity beautifully.
