Opening up the file it looked just like anyone else's client profile, but one thing was different from the rest of them. Under the section that said 'Condition of the Agreement' it read 'continuation by force' in Levi's handwriting instead of the usual 'terminated'. This caught my attention as my eyes continuously scanned the words 'by force' over and over again, there are not many people that can FORCE Levi to do things so this striked me as odd. Having my curiosity peeked I went through the entire file, they were all documents about the jobs this girl ordered Levi to do which mostly consisted of assassination, luckily none since he's left the underground, and the stealing of important documents and artifacts along with intel trades. This girl didn't seem to out of the ordinary so I was still skeptical as to why Levi has continued to work with her. About half way through I came upon a letter that appeared to be resealed, opening it once again with ease I took out its contents. There was two letters along with a plain golden ring that had a blue and white diamond side by side, representing the colors of the Wings of Freedom most likely. Setting it down, I picked up the first letter. It was in a lazy and messy handwriting that probably came from the client.

Dear Levi,

I was sad to hear that you and your little gang was dragged up to the surface and made to join the survey corps, and I'm sorry for the deaths of Isabel and Furlan since they were dear to you. Although they could never quite get the job done like you could. I also heard that you have a pretty little girlfriend now, was (F/N) her name. Yes I believe it was. Anyways I want to keep this short so I'm just going to say that I have no intention of terminating the little agreement we have, so I will continue to send you jobs and you will continue to fill them. But instead of your dead friend's lives on the line, let's put your precious little (F/N)'s life on the line. Do the jobs and she won't get hurt, you hear me Levi Ackerman. Good, now get on your first job that's attached to this little letter of mine. And don't even think about telling anyone, especially her. Or else...

Sincerely, Mia Lin

I stared at the letter in disbelief and found that the first job was torn off from the letter, but damn this girl was cruel. I see what Levi means by forced though, I can't believe this girl would go so far as to threaten me knowing that Levi would cooperate. I wonder if she knows that Levi's missing and possibly gone. I turned my attention to the other letter that was in the envelope, and picking it up I instantly recognized the small and neat handwriting of Levi on the crisp page. I can feel my hands slightly shaking as I read the letter out loud.

Dear (F/N),

First off I want to say I'm sorry for leaving you and for anything that I may have caused for you. I never wanted to hurt you but Mia Lin left me no choice. This is the last job I will ever be doing for this girl or for anyone for that matter, and of course it's the biggest one that possess the most difficulties. Although for this job I was able to convince Mia Lin to let you help me as long as you don't tell anyone else, I couldn't bare to be apart from you. I'm sorry for leaving you and it pains me to but I was required to retreat to the underground for this, which is where I am now. I left my cravat and rings for you since I had to fake my death but really they were for you to remember me. I also left the other ring in the envelope for you, I had it made for us a while ago after we first got to the surface, and I have the other one. Anyways back to business as I can't explain much in this letter without putting you at risk. That is the only reason I continued on with these jobs and I'm sure you know that, I only wish that you can forgive me. Go down to the underground secretly the night after you read this or at least a night soon after reading this, I'm going to miss you so much. I will be waiting for you but make sure no one recognizes you and don't draw suspicion to yourself, just stay low.

With Love, Levi

I felt tears stinging at my eyes but I forced them to stay inside, he was alive and that's all that matters to me. I understand why he did it and while I may be upset I am a lot more happy than angry. I set the letter down and looked the ring. Levi said he had the other one but it didn't look like it belonged in a set. Picking up the ring I studied it, there was a small engravement in Levi's handwriting the made it clear that it was custom made, it said 'Forever'. I smiled and slid the ring onto my finger.

A knock sounded on my door and I got up opening the door slightly to see Eren, "What do you need Eren?" I asked for once with a genuinely cheerful voice, with Levi back I might actually return back to normal. I saw Eren smile and ask if he could come inside, I looked back at my desk. I can't let anyone see the files. Turning back towards Eren I opened the door, "Sure but sit on the couch and don't look at any of the things on my desk until I say so got it?" I ask in a serious tone, he nods his head a little scared. "Good." I let him in and walked to my desk, I heard him close the door and sit down. I placed everything back in the box exactly as I found it, the only difference is the absence of the ring which is now on my finger and the photo of Levi which I kept on my desk. Closing the box I moved my stool and placed the box on the very top of the shelves so that it will be hard to reach and moving my stool away I sit in the office chair, the lemony scent made me happy instead of sad for the first time in a while. I picked up the photo of Levi and set it in the drawer on top so I see it whenever I go to grab more paper or supplies. I look to Eren who was staring at me. "So, what did you want Eren?"

"Oh, I wanted to tell you that its dinner time even though you haven't been attending lately. But Hanji wanted me to see if you drank your tea." I stared at the cup still full of the now cold liquid.

Standing up I walked to my door and opened it Eren following behind me, I starting walking towards the banquet hall. "No I did not drink my tea but I think I will join you all for dinner tonight." Everyone was surprised when I walked into the banquet hall and sat down actually eating a whole meal for the first time since Levi's been gone. Everyone was bombarding me with questions and I answered them cheerily but honestly I wasn't listening. The whole entire time all I thought about was how I was finally going to see Levi again, and I was going tonight.
