Chapter 11

Piper POV

After 3 months of no contact from Alex, I began to think that maybe she forgot about me. She probably found someone new in Bali and they fell in love so now they'll be traveling the world together. I call her and text her almost daily to see if she would answer but she never did. I have never felt so hurt.

"She promised she would try and make things work," I cried out to Polly. "After everything we've been through. I accepted her and this job and I forgave her for what she did with that bitch Sylvie, and yet she won't talk to me, she doesn't care anymore."

"I'm sure that's not true, she'll call eventually Piper. She's probably just really busy with her trip okay?" She tries to reassure me, but she wasn't helping the situation at all.

"Okay, maybe you're right," I said and just left the conversation at that. It wasn't because I didn't appreciate her trying to make me feel better, it's just that she really can't relate to how I feel so she can't really make much of a difference . She was in a completely different situation regarding her love life. She had Pete, someone who lived in the same country, someone took her out on dates, and someone who loved her.

After another week of not hearing from Alex I decided that maybe it was right to just give it up, this lasted maybe two hours. I got home from my joke of a job to a package addressed to me patiently waiting in front of the door.

"What the hell?" I question myself, I didn't order anything from the catalog this month so I had no clue what it is. Although I was suspicious, I didn't hesitate to open it as soon as I walked in my door.

As I finally managed to get the heavily duct-taped box open there was a note sitting on top of the practically empty box. It said:

Dear Pipes,

I'm sorry it took me so long to get in touch with you. It has just been so crazy and I'm just glad that it can change starting now. In this package is a first class plane ticket and some money for new clothes and whatever you may need. I want you to come to Bali with me. There are no favors and there is no "catch" I just want you here for my company. I can pay for everything and we can finally start a life together just you and me, don't worry about your 'job' and do not worry about getting in any trouble, I just want you here babe. I hope to see you soon. You're flight is in a week, I'll be waiting for you at the exits.

After reading the letter my jaw literally dropped, it was unbelievable. I looked deeper in the box and sure enough there was a ticket to Bali and $1000 waiting for me. That's when it really sunk in, maybe we really were meant to be. Then again what if it turns into a disaster, then I'll be screwed and stuck there. But then again this may be the ticket that can take me to the woman I love and start a life, I'll have to do some thinking. Is it really worth it?

Alex POV

The day is here, I can finally see Piper again. I have been waiting so long for this, to hug her, to kiss her, and plenty of other things. I just hoped everything worked out with the flight. They're supposed to land at 4 pm with no more than a twenty minute delay if any were to occur. I'll be here at the exit waiting to see her face.

After 4:40 pm I was getting a little anxious, I don't know if maybe she's at baggage claim or maybe it got delayed a little longer. But I just hope she's here soon.

At 5:00 and I began to lose hope, I decided to just give it 5 more minutes and if she isn't here then I guess it was her answer. Maybe I shouldn't have just sprung the idea on her anyway, it wasn't very wise to randomly do this to her especially when we haven't talked in forever. She could've found someone new because I reached out too late. I began to walk through the door when a hand touched my shoulder and a familiar voice called me.

"Alex?" she said unsure, but as I turned around and Piper saw my face she lit up and my day had gotten a million times better. I hugged her as tight as I have ever hugged her and she didn't seem to mind because she wasn't letting go either. I have never felt so content.

"I missed you so much Pipes, I love you babe" I whispered in her ear still maintaining my tight grip.

"I missed you too Alex, I'm so glad to see you. I love you too." She whispered back. She was finally here, and shes here to stay.

So happy to be back more, hopefully if things get easier I'll update at least once a week, I have you wait like that again, I know it was cruel and I'm so sorry!!
