Chapter 13

Alex POV

"I love you." I finally said after slight pause. Piper broke from our cuddling session to face me. She was speechless and her face changed into a cute and illuminating smile which caused me to smile a little too. 

I don't know why but I just felt like that was the perfect time to say it. I never say I love you, unless I genuinely mean it. And only few people had the privilege to hear me say those words. With Piper, it was like I finally knew what love was. All of my past relationships including Sylvie, felt like more of a fling than something I wanted to commit to. But Piper changed my whole plan and my whole mindset. The "girl at the bar" felt more like the love of my life. She stared back at me with those icy blue eyes.

"You do?" She whispered in awe. I leaned in and gave her a kiss that lasted longer than intended. After I felt like I've slightly gotten my point across, I pulled away and said 'Of course I do'. Then there was a pause that slowly began to worry me. Did she feel the same way? 

"I don't say it to just anyone," I finally said softly. "You have to say it back," I continued. This was like the moment of truth for me.  She scooched closer to me and without any hesitation or any thinking, she said ' I love you too Al' and my heart melted. From that point on I was certain she was the one. I never want to let her go.

Piper POV

I think I can officially say that I am happy with my life. Alex is just amazing. These past few months have been the best of my life. Between the traveling and the sight seeing and... sex, my life is perfect. 

I woke up a lot later than usual today, so I was confused when Alex wasn't laying next to me like she always does. I slowly got up reminding myself that I cannot stay in bed all day. I walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth and washed my face before I went out into the dining area to look for Alex. Oddly enough she wasn't there I looked in the living room and the kitchen before finally noticing a note on the fridge. It read:

 "Hey babe, I didn't want to wake you but I had last minute this morning. There's some breakfast in the morning for you. I'll be back soon sleepyhead ;)

Love, Al <3"

 I  smiled after reading it and warmed up the french toast she made me. She's always been an amazing cook and never disappoints. Once I finished I showered and got dressed and tried watching some tv as I waited for Alex to get home. 

Alex POV

"Alex this has to happen, I don't know what the fuck to tell you! You're going to make her do this and that's final! You should've been more FUCKING careful!" Kubra snapped causing me to jump.

"But I promised her she wouldn't have to do anything like that. We had that fucking  agreement," I hissed back, hiding my fear. It was a death wish to argue against Kubra but for Piper this was dire. 

When I asked Piper to travel with me, I told her that she didn't have to do anything and that she was just going to be there for company. Kubra knew this too and I thought he would understand that. But this was before  someone sent a tip in to the feds giving them my description. I had to lay low for a while and Piper met the perfect quota for this type of job. The "promise" meant nothing to him.

I thought I had gotten my point across because for a split second Kubra seemed to be in a negotiating mood.  Then he pulled out his pistol and pointed it toward my head. 

Well I guess I was wrong..

HOLY SHIT NO MORE WRITERS BLOCK AND WE HAVE 2K READS AHHH. I'm so excited to keep this going I know I was dead for a while but Hopefully I can keep posting and 3k reads can happen soon!!!
