4. The sleeping Cinderella

Morning crept in. Everyone was up except Sanyukta. She couldn't sleep the whole night as it was a new place. It always takes time for her to accustom to new places. She was turning and rolling all night and finally fell asleep in the early morning somehow. As per their plan, all the four are supposed to leave for sight-seeing.

"Okay mom... You send kaka here. We will manage... Yeah mom bye!!" He came downstairs talking to his mother over the phone.

Randhir- Guyz I'm ready... Shall we leave?? Its already late (he said looking at his watch. He then looked at his besties. They were still in their night suits. Parth was reading newspaper and vidushi was updating her Facebook status)

Randhir- What's wrong yaar? Aren't you people ready? Guyz...we are damn late already. If you are not here in 5 minutes, then I'm sure... I'll go alone.(He was literally shouting)

Parth- No no Randhir. You just wait... We will be back in 2 minutes. (Looking at vidushi)Vidu...run run!!!

Vidushi- Randhir... Atleast we are awake. But Sanyukta is still sleeping. Go, wake her up before we come back. (She said running to her room)

Usually, the mere mention of her name would irk him. Today he has to go, see her or rather wake her up... This is too much, isn't it??
"Am I her servant??" he thought. He picked up a water bottle from the side table deciding how to make her spring up from her bed. He went towards her room and dashed open the door.

All his anger vanished on the mere sight of the thing in front. She was sleeping peacefully with her hair covering her face and the pillow, with her hands in between her legs, her mouth slightly opened. She was in her deep slumber without caring much about the world around. His eyes forgot to blink. His legs automatically took him towards her and now he was sitting beside her. The water bottle was lying somewhere down and his task was long forgotten. He never knew that a person could hypnotise someone with her eyes closed.

His hands involuntarily removed those strands from her face. He didn't know what he himself was doing. His brain was somewhere out there in a picnic. And then his hands did the thing which he never thought it would do. It was caressing her face lovingly, with all care not to disturb her. She stirred in her sleep telling him that she liked it. A small smile appeared on his face. He bent towards her face and his lips were about to land on her forehead. He closed his eyes, getting drowned in her aroma. He was about to do what he was doing but Vidushi's voice brought him out of his revere.

Vidushi- Randhir... We're ready. Please come fast (she shouted from the hallway looking towards his room assuming that he would be in his room only)

Randhir immediately gained his sense and withdrew his hands from her face in a moment. He understood what he was doing. He turned around and rushed out. He entered his room and was pacing front and back. He couldn't make out the reason behind his act. He was thinking over and over again. He never thought he would do this ever in his life. He mentally kicked himself several times for losing control.

Vidushi, on getting no response, went up. The door of Sanyu's room was wide open and she was still sleeping. Vidushi got hell irritated as Randhir didn't even try to do what she told him to. She moved towards Randhir's room to see him walking to and fro.

Vidushi- Randhir... Did you wake up Sanyukta???

Randhir- Nnn...noo vidu!!(he stammered)ummm... Actually I was busy. I was doing some important work. You go and wake her na please??

This made Vidushi suspicious. First of all... He was calling her vidu instead of his usual mockery 'chudail'. The second biggest biggest shock was THE GREAT RANDHIR SINGH SHEKAWAT was pleading. Above all that, he was stammering. Something is really wrong

Vidushi- What's wrong?? Why are you behaving weird?? What are you hiding from me?? Don't try to fool me Randhir. Jaldi batao problem kya hai???

Randhir- No vidushi!! Nothing like that. You first go and wake her. Or else, we can't go for outing. Do you wish to stay indoor?? (He threatened and tried to change the topic)

She rolled her eyes and straight away went to do the not-so-easy task given to her. Sanyukta was sleeping, yet smiling in her sleep. Vidushi went up to her and shook the hell out of Sanyukta.

Vidushi- Sanyukta utto... We are getting late. Utttooooo...(she shouted. Still no response)

She saw a water bottle on the floor. She first looked at Sanyu's face and then the bottle. She picked it up and emptied the entire thing on her face. Sanyukta jumped up in shock.

Sanyukta- Tukku...(she whispered. She could feel his presence when she was asleep.)

Vidushi- Sanyukta... For god sake get up!! We are freaking late already. And you are here dreaming... I'm not Tukku. I'm Vidushi!! Utto abb...

Sanyukta- But Vidu... Why do I feel that Tukku was here sometime before??

Vidushi- Sanyukta, you are new to this place right? That's why you are feeling weird. But now...please go and fresh up and come down. You have exactly 5 minutes. (She said and flew away without answering Sanyukta's puzzle)

A confused Sanyukta got ready still thinking about her weird dream. She had a doubt whether it was a dream or a reality. She came down and Randhir's heart skipped a beat once again. They all left for their sight seeing and now it was Randhir's turn to stay quiet. Even if asked anything, he would nod his head and hardly opened his mouth.

They came back home after a tiring day. They wished a happy night and returned to their rooms. Randhir was there lying on his bed, but sleep was far far away that night. He replayed the incident again and again and wondered what made him to do that.

"What's happening to me?? Why did my heart leap on seeing her sleep? Uhhh...This moti is really annoying to the core!!" He was talking and scolding himself and fell asleep at last.
