3. An amazing stranger

Results were out. As expected, Randhir topped the exams followed by Sanyukta. Though she was little upset with her result, she was happy for Randhir. Come what may, they never let their personal reasons come in between their academics.

All the four were all set to go to the capital city to do their bachelors in the most eminent college. At first, Randhir was against taking Sanyukta along with them for some reasons unknown to himself. But due to his parents' continuous persuasion and pestering, he had no other option left.

Sanyukta was also determined to pursue her career only in mechanical engineering and FITE is indeed the best place to do that. Not because Randhir has chosen that stream, but it has been her passion ever since her childhood.

All the four decided to go to Delhi a few days before the college started. They wished to explore and get used to the city. After some emotional scenes, they are now in a flight to Delhi. Being acrophobic, Sanyukta was clutching Randhir's arm in fear.

Randhir- Sanyukta What are you doing?? Chodo mujhe (with an irritated face)

Sanyukta- Tukku please na!! I'm really afraid of heights... you know that right?? I may pass out if you do not cooperate. Or else you will only be burdened more. You will have to carry me all the way to our place.

Randhir on hearing the word "cooperate" he got highly irritated. What does she mean by cooperate? What does she really want him to do? She is really getting on his nerves. He was about to reply but was cut off by the air hostess who informed them that the plane was about to take off. Sanyukta at once, tightened her grip over Randhir's shoulder and he hissed in pain.

Randhir- Don't you have sense Sanyukta? Leave my hand first. Its paining...

Sanyukta- Even I'm not interested in touching you Mr. Shekawat... Don't overact (she retorted back)

All these scenes were noted by the lady sitting adjacent to Randhir. The seating arrangements were in such a way that each row had three seats. She was constantly giggling seeing their fight!! They were seated like Randhir in the middle and the ladies on both his sides.

Lady- Excuse me... Can I tell something?? You both look adorable together. For how long you both have been dating?? (She was really curious to know)

Randhir- What??? Dating???

Lady- Haan... You guyz love each other right??? I must say, you both would make a wonderful couple...(she spoke from her heart)

Randhir, on hearing this, was shocked beyond words.

Randhir- No no aunty... You are getting it all wrong!! We are not lovers. We are...(he started)

Lady- Yesss... I knew it!!! I guessed it right. You are not dating... You both are MARRIED. I just thought... you look very young and so you both would be dating as of now. But see...my common sense never fails. It is indeed right this time too (she laughed )

This statement gave a little heart attack to Randhir. On the other hand, Sanyukta was enjoying it. His expressions were worth watching. Every time he tries to explain, that lady would interrupt and blabber something.

Sanyukta- Haan aunty... You are absolutely right!!! How did you find out?? We are indeed a couple. We got married last year. Our parents were against our marriage. So we eloped(she said with a sad face) and now you can see where we are!!!

She acted along. She was enjoying his each and every expression. He was already fed up with this lady beside him. Adding to his dismay, Sanyukta was also joining with her.

Randhir- Sanyukta... What is this nonsense?? You and me?? Married?? What the hell are you talking?? (He was perplexed)

Lady- Arey.. I can help you beta... You want a job or you want a place to stay?? Ask me anything. I'm really happy to see a beautiful couple like you!!! I'm here to help you.

Sanyukta- Thank you so much aunty!! So sweet of you... But no problem. We will manage. Right Randhir? (She asked with a teasing smile)

Randhir(gritting his teeth and murmuring in her ear)- If you don't stop this nonsense, I'm sure I'll do anything. I'm warning you. Don't mess with me Sanyukta!!!

She gave him a "what can you do?? You can't do anything!!" wala look and turned towards the lady who was still looking at the duo with awe.

Sanyukta- Actually aunty... He is not feeling well. He wants to sleep sometime. Can we talk later??

Lady- Oh sure beta... You both take rest. You are newly married right?? So you must be tired (she winked)

This was the limit. Randhir was about to shout at the lady but Sanyukta stopped him

Sanyukta- Aunty... Aap bhi na??(she said with a blush and this gained another glare from Randhir) Okay aunty... We are sleepy. Talk to you later!!

Lady- Okay beta... Sleep well!!

And the journey went on!! After an hour, Sanyukta was having her head on Randhir's shoulder and his on her head. They were sleeping peacefully when suddenly a jerk brought them out. The plane has landed in Delhi. Sanyukta sighed in relief as there is no need to fear anymore.

Sanyukta- Thank God!! Tukku... The plane has landed safely. We are in Delhi (she spoke excitedly as if he doesn't know)

Randhir- I know Sanyukta. Will you leave my hand now??(he spoke bluntly)

Lady- Don't be rude to your wife my boy. Talk to her sweetly!!

Sanyukta- Haan Randhir... You are not supposed to talk to me this way... I'm your loving wife na??

He had had enough of her nonsense. He decided to take revenge.

Randhir- Yes my dear wifey!! I'm really sorry for being rude to you. I wish to repent my mistake. Come.. let me give you a mind numbing kiss!! Come on baby!! ( he held her waist and brought her closer and smirked at her)
What's wrong sweetheart?? You look so confused?? We are a couple right? So we are totally allowed to do PDAs!!

This came as a shock to Sanyukta. She never expected him to react this way. She didn't know what to do. She pushed him and ran out of sight. She thought of teasing him but its reverse now!!

They are now outside the airport. They took a cab. Throughout the journey, Sanyukta was all quiet which was not so her. She never dared to open her mouth. If she does so, that would probably land her in more trouble. So she decided to stay quiet. They finally reached their place. A beautiful greenish walkway escorted them till the door. There was a fountain in the middle of the garden and the sight was blissful.

When they entered inside, it was not less than a palace. There was a huge hallway. To its right, there was a kitchen, dining room adjacent to it and a staircase. To its left, there were two bedrooms and Vidharth decided to occupy them. The staircase led them to the first floor. There were two more rooms opposite to each other and sandhir decided to occupy them. It was already dark. They were all exhausted. They decided to call it a day and stormed into their respective rooms.

Sanyukta looked through the window in her room and thanked the stars for all the things she has got till date. Her dream to become a mechanical engineer is going to become a reality. She was extremely happy from inside. She, with a happy face, went to bed thinking about what would be her future.
