"You are under arrest" the inspector declared.

"What??" Randhir yelped in confusion.

The inspector signalled one of his men and even before Randhir could understand what was happening, he was handcuffed.

"Inspector... What are you doing?? Are you mad? Why are you arresting me?? " Randhir was baffled.

Party who was all silent till that moment couldn't take his words any longer. He screamed in wrath and jumped over his frame and held onto his collars, pushing all the cops behind.

"Enough Randhir! Enough is enough! How long will you act?? Haan?? She loved you more than anything in this world and you planned to kill her?? You cheap, selfish creature" Parth shouted with utter aggravation. Randhir was shocked and confused.  

"Parth.... what are you saying?? Why would I kill her?? Trust me, I didn't do anyth...." Randhir tried to explain when Parth punched him on his face.

"Oh shit! Parth... leave him" Vidushi pulled him behind while Randhir was taken away by the cops. All the while, Sanyukta continued to stare at the wall without a word.

"Sanyu... Trust me! I didn't do anything. Sanyu.... Please look at me. Sanyuuuu pleaseee" He desperately wanted to make her understand that he was not the culprit but she had turned into a stone, by heart and mind. As he was escorted out of the house, his eyes clogged with painful tears and helplessness.

Once Randhir was out of sight, Sanyukta broke into tears. She couldn't take it any longer and mourned aloud.

"Sanyu" Vidushi immediately engulfed her in a tight hug.

"What sin did I commit Vidu?? I loved him more than anything in this world. Was that a mistake? Why does he hate me so much?? Am I so bad that he wanted me dead??" She wept like a kid.

"Sshhhh... Sanyu! Nothing like that. You are the best best person on earth. Calm down. Please..." Vidushi stroked her hair lovingly while Parth couldn't even look at her sufferring like this. He mentally promised himself that he will never ever forgive Randhir for his lifetime.

Here, Randhir was beaten black and blue by the cops to make him accept the accusation. But his lips kept uttering the same thing repeatedly.

"I'm innocent" he cried in pain which welcomed another merciless kick from them.

The inspector sighed in defeat since he couldn't extract anything from his mouth. He instructed his subordinates to take Randhir to the adjacent room where he would investigate personally. They literally carried Randhir to the next room which looked more like a conference hall. They made him sit on a chair and meanwhile the inspector came back and ordered all his men to leave the room immediately. They all obliged and left at once.

The Inspector sat in front of Randhir. After a minute of silence, he spoke

"Look Randhir. Don't test our patience. If you accept the mistake, I'll ensure that your punishment is reduced. Else, I'll make sure that you are sentenced to death" The inspector told, rather warned Randhir.
