Prologue.

My name is Anastazsia Gray. My family is originally from Puerto Rico but they moved to the states before I was born so I've lived here my whole life. I am part of the Spirit Moon pack and we're one of the strongest packs in California. Some would argue in the world. That's a discussion for a whole other time.

My dad is one of the most respected warriors of the pack with my brother Aiden following in his footsteps. Aiden is my fraternal twin and we just turned seventeen years old last month. (I'm older of course) So he should be finding his mate soon. I'm not interested in that. I feel I am strong on my own why do I need someone else? My mom just tells me I'll understand when I meet him. To which I reply with a grunt and an eyeroll everytime.

I like to keep to myself most of the time but I'm in no way an introvert. In fact I say what's on my mind and act a total fool maybe a little too much. Only with my friends do I completely let go and be myself though. My best friend is Zarielle Lucas. We met when we were basically babies and we've been inseperable ever since. Her father is actually the Beta of the pack which means he is second in command to the Alpha. That is until the next Alpha takes over and picks his own Beta. I respect the crap out of our Alpha because he allowed my parents to join his pack, when they moved from Puerto Rico, no questions asked.

I'm a senior in highschool graduation is actually right around the corner thankfully. So as you can imagine a party has already been planned. It also happens to be the next Alpha's birthday the weekend of graduation so everyone is pretty excited. It's going to be the party of the year. Little did I know it would change my life forever.
