(((Kellan Moon in the picture)))

Avery and I are back in New York. After I left Kellan's I booked us flights for the morning and packed our bags that night. I said goodbye to my family and left. She hasn't spoken to me since we left my parents place and I've tried pretty much everything but it's been a couple days. I know the only thing that will truly cheer her up is going back but I can't do that. Hopefully when she's old enough she'll understand.

I'm on my way to drop her off at my close friend Lisa's house because I have to work. I told my job I wanted to cut my vacation time early. Of course they had no problem putting me back on the schedule. I met Lisa during one of my many modeling gigs. She also has a daughter so we hit it of immediately.

"Mommy is he my daddy?," she asks me and I almost choke on my spit in surprise. How did she find out?

"Is who your daddy?," I ask her playing dumb hoping to buy myself some time. She just stares at me waiting for me to answer her question. I sigh and decide to just tell her the truth, "Yes Avery, he's your dad."

"Then why did we leave mommy?," she asks me with sadness in her eyes and voice.

"The situation is very complicated," I tell her. She nods in confusion because she doesn't know what complicated means. "It's grown up business," I better explain to her.

She doesn't say anything else the rest of the way there. Instead she looks out the window while I try to figure out how she could've possibly known that. I arrive at Lisa's and push that thought to the back of my mind as I get out the car. I walk around to the other side and open the door unbuckling Avery. She gets out and I kneel in front of her.

"Be good for aunt Lisa," I tell her softly but firmly. "I promise one day I'll better explain everything okay? But for now this is how things are going to be."

She gives me a brief nod of her head and we make our way to the front door. I ring the doorbell and Lisa answers a little bit after with a huge smile on her face. Lisa obviously isn't really her aunt but Avery started to call her that and it just sort of stuck.

"Mya! Avery is here!," she yells to her daughter and we hear running footsteps. A few seconds later Mya is at the door and let's out a squeal if happiness.

Avery's face instantly lights up as Mya pulls her inside.

"Bye Avery!," I yell to her but she just disappears into Mya's room without so much as a bye or a glance in my direction.

"Everything okay?," Lisa asks with a frown as she notices Avery's behavior towards me.

"Yeah she's just disappointed we came back early," I tell her. "I have to get to work but I'll call you when I'm on my way to get her, that okay?"

"Yeah girl! Don't even worry about it," she says. I wave bye to her before she closes the door and I walk to my car. I get inside my car starting it and make my way to work feeling empty because my daughter isn't happy with me.

Kellan's POV:

I keep messing up my chances with Anastazsia every time I open my mouth. You would think by now I know to just stop talking but that is not the case. I let my anger get the best of me and blurt out things I don't mean. I've pretty much banished any chance I had of her forgiving me.

I decide to pay the warrior lessons a visit today to see how everything is coming along. With the rogue problem getting increasingly worse I need them to be at their bests. I also wanted to ask Aiden how Anastazsia is doing.

When I arrive everyone stops what they're doing and bows their heads in respect.

"As you were," I say to them and they continue their practice.

"Hey Aiden," I call him over.

He jogs over to me, "What's up?"

"I heard your sister is in town you can take some time off to spend with her if you want. How is she anyway?," I ask him with what I hope is indifference in my voice.

"Nah it's okay she ended up going back to New York early," he says. I immediately stiffen and hope he doesn't notice my change in demeanor. 'So that's where she left to all those years ago' I think to myself.

"Really when did she leave?," I try to ask him nonchalantly.

He thinks about it for what feels like forever and finally answers my question, "Like 3 days ago man why?"

"No reason," I tell him. "The rogue problem is becoming worse so make sure they're training hard."

He nods at me and gets back to teaching with the other head warriors. I can't believe I didn't know she left again. I start to feel this unbelievable ache in my heart because not only did she go but she took my daughter with her. Now that I know she exists my heart aches for her as well. I hurry back home to book a flight to New York and tell Jacks to take care of things while I'm gone.

I don't know how I'm going to find her all I know is I have to bring them back.
