Chapter Sixteen.

I started to wake up a few hours later I can't believe I fell asleep in the middle of the day because of him. Just thinking about Kellan made a smile spread across my face. I could feel his chest underneath my head and his arm wrapped around me while he ran his finger up and down my spine. I shivered from his actions I love that he can elicit this response from me. Having your mate is literally the best feeling in the world. I lifted my head and looked up at him he was staring back at me. Those eyes. I could get lost in them forever.

"Morning mate," he says to me and leans in to kiss my forehead. Just hearing him say that causes butterflies in my stomach. Yeah I'll definitely never get tired of hearing him say that.

"Good morning love," I tell him as I sit up and straddle his waist. I bend down and lick his neck where I marked him making him moan and grind into me. I grind back and moan as well. "As much as I want to continue this we slept too long and I need to pick up Avery," I inform him. "Do you want to come? Maybe if she sees you she'll actually talk to me this time," I mumble.

"Of course I'm going you didn't even have to ask. What do you mean maybe she'll talk to you?," he asked me with a confused look on his face.

"She figured out somehow that you're her dad and when we left she gave me the silent treatment," I explain to him. "I mean I knew she already didn't want to leave everyone so fast but I guess leaving her dad behind as well made me the enemy in her eyes."

He starts to rub his hands up and down my thighs seeing as I was still straddling his waist. I lay my body down so that I'm laying on his chest. "You're far from the enemy everything she's feeling is my fault I'm so sorry she's taking that out on you. I'll try to explain it when we pick her up okay?," he reassures me. I shake my head no.

"I don't want her to think bad of her now that she finally has you," I tell him with determination. "It's partly my fault I was too scared to tell you she existed in the first place. Maybe when she's older and finds her mate we'll explain it to her...when she can understand." I lift my head and give him a kiss then I sit up and make my way off the bed to put some clothes on.

"Shower?," he asks me while giving me the sexiest smile. What the hell right?? So we'll be a little late picking her up, Lisa won't be angry. I head towards he bathroom and look over my shoulder with what I hope was a seductive smile on my face. It must have worked because he growled setting my sex ablaze and ran after me to the bathroom. 'I can get used to this' I thought to myself.

We ended up being a good 30 minutes late to pick up Avery. I drove since I knew where I was going and Kellan did not, although he did try to protest. Said him not driving made him feel 'not in control' and 'emasculated'. I just scoffed at him and told him to get in the car. I pulled up in front of Lisa's place and honked the horn to let her know I made it.

"Are you staying in the car?," I asked him.

"Nope not a chance!," he already had his seatbelt off and was halfway out the car before I could even take the keys fully out of the ignition. It's nice to see how much he loves his daughter. It makes me love him that much more than I already do. I couldn't help but laugh at his excitement.

"I love you!," I blurted out to him and immediately put my hand over my mouth, my eyes wide just staring at him. I can't believe I just blurted that out. 'Anastaszia you're stupid you just got him back why are you trying to scare him away' I scolded myself in my mind. I was so into my thoughts I didn't notice he was on my side of the car lifting me out. He put me on my feet, held my face in his hands and gave the most passionate toe curling kiss.
