Chapter Twelve.

Anastaszia's POV:

I heard about what happened to Kellan's Omega and thought it was best to give him awhile before I went over to talk him, just us. I decided not to tell my family about Kellan just yet until we talk and figure some things out.

I'm on my way over there now and I left Avery with my mom and dad they were more than happy to watch her. I also need to talk to Jacks he's hasn't answered any of my texts or calls trying to explain everything to him so hopefully I can catch him while I'm over there to talk to Kellan.

I finally make it to his place and I sit in the car for a little while building up courage before I get out and walk up to the front door. I ring the doorbell and 15 seconds later the door flies open and there's a gorgeous brunette on the other side of the door. I don't know who she is but I can tell she's someone's mate by the mark on her neck.

"Is Kellan here?," I ask her while looking past her to see if he's near.

"Yeah he's upstairs who are you?," she asks me suspiciously.

"Anastazsia he's not expecting me but we need to talk so I'm just gonna go upstairs," I tell her trying to walk past her but she puts her arm out blocking my path into the mansion. Seriously who is this girl??

"I've never seen you around here before so no you're not gonna 'just go upstairs'," she says making quotations with her fingers.

"You've lived here for what a day? I've lived here all my life so how about you move your arm before I break it," I growl at her. I was about to make good on my threat before Jacks appears out of nowhere.

"Making friends I see," he says to me and I swear I can see a faint smile on his face.

"Yeah I guess I am," I tell him smiling. "I'm glad you're here actually can we talk before I go talk to Kellan?," I ask him hoping he won't turn me down.

"Sure come on," he tells me.

I sigh in relief and push past the rude brunette in the doorway. Whoever she is I can just tell we won't be friends. I follow behind Jacks as he makes his way to the living room and he sits on the couch while I take the seat next to him. I decide to just go for it and get it all out first.

"Look, you can't be mad at me I'm not the bad guy here. I know how you must feel and I'm so sorry I never told you who her dad is it's just the situation was complicated. He rejected me the morning after we met. He took my virginity then treated me like I was nothing so you can understand why I didn't want him to know about her. I thought he would reject her too. It's not that I didn't trust you cause I do I trust you with our lives I just couldn't take the risk of him finding out. Don't be mad at Zari either I made her promise not to tell you so please don't ignore her anymore it's driving her crazy I know you can feel it through the bond if you didn't block her. Avery misses you she's been asking about you and I just want us to be good again. Besides Zari, you're my best friend," I say to him putting it all out there.

"I was never mad at you. Well okay I was a little mad but I was more hurt I thought we were close and I felt betrayed like you didn't trust me. I'm sorry I've been a class A douchebag I never thought to hear your side of things. I didn't know he did that to you. Don't worry we're good okay?," he asks me while standing up and opening his arms for a hug. I stand up and give him a hug happy that he was no longer mad at me. He's become another constant in my life I didn't realize how much I needed him until he stopped talking to me.
