Love & War
Voices, loud and clear.
Shattering all existence
For the happiness, isn't there.
Hatred and agitation.
It keeps them going.
Out of control.
No type of common sense.
Shouting and yelling.
Shoving and hitting.
Absolutely impossible to make amends.
Over-talking, the truth.
Making up several lies.
Hiding in the shadows of regret.
Turning away from confrontation.
Pent up emotions, finally bursting.
The hotter the battlefield, the stronger the rage.
The colder the hearts, the brighter the sins.
Insincere apologizing, taking a break from the everlasting war.
Believing in anything the world shrieks at you.
Just building up enough confidence, to walk out that godforsaken door.
A spark of love.
Burning out, along the way.
Dying down to gun-metal ashes.
Being swept up by the winds of change.
Shimmering bullets of anger, scattered along the floor.
There is always a good heart.
In the middle of it all.
Praying, hoping, wishing.
For the call, that the war is over.
So, they can claim the casualties.
But it never does.
Everything becomes set aflame.
Burning brighter, engulfing faster.
Scarring burns, and tears of escape.
The war keeps raging.
On and on and on.
