Edward wakes up the morning after that rough night with Isaac the Freezer. Alphonse and I got to know each other over night, but he didn't tell me anything about what had happened to their bodies. I understand that, and I don't really want to ask him anyway.
I told him my story, though, and Alphonse seemed grateful to me that I trusted him enough to have actually told him something like that. And regarding him, he said that it was best if Edward was the one to tell me.
After hours of talking and looking at Edward sleeping peacefully, I fell asleep as well. I wonder if Alphonse sleeps too...
Anyway, in the morning, Edward is looking much better.
"Hey, Ed," I say.
He smiles at me. "Hi. Are you alright?"
"Yeah," I reply. "Are you?"
"Well, I am feeling better," he says.
"That's good to hear," I smile at him.
He continues smiling at me and we stay like that for a few seconds, until Alphonse breaks the silence by clearing his throat.
"Ed," he says, "we never did find out if he had a Philosopher Stone."
"No," Edward replies. "But maybe it will say so in the official report."
Then the door opens revealing Major Armstrong with a bouquet of roses. "When I heard you were in the hospital, I JUST HAD TO COME!"
The three of us are in shock at what Major Armstrong is saying, but what he does next is worse.
"And since you are in desperate need of my assistance...!" Major Armstrong takes off his shirt.
Ed, Alphonse, and I scream in fear at what we're seeing.
"WILL YOU GET OUT?" Edward finally says.
Deeply apologetic, Major Armstrong leaves the room and the three of us are left alone again. After that awkward incident, we start talking and laughing again.
I'm just glad to see Edward smiling.

As soon as Edward feels good enough to get on the move again, he, Alphonse, and I set out to catch the train they first wanted to get on a while ago.
He's chatting with his brother on the train while I look out the window at the trees that go by as the train moves. I hear them talking and laughing and that somehow makes me feel relaxed inside, as though nothing could go wrong.
But then, there's a silence. I don't react to it though, as I find myself still looking at the landscape that changes as we move forward.
"Hey, Alice?" Edward says.
I snap out of my daze. "Yeah, what is it?"
"You're a fire alchemist too, right?" He says.
"Yeah," I reply, "I know Alchemy in general but I specialized in fire ever since I was little."
"Do you have like a nickname?" Alphonse asks.
"No," I reply. "Not a lot of the people I know were happy whenever I showed them my fire alchemy."
"How come?" Alphonse says.
"Well..." I think. "I was a bit of a troublemaker when I was younger."
"Oh, right!" he says. "You told me that."
"Wait, told you what?" Edward says. "You two talked without me?"
"Oh," I say, "sorry, Ed. But you were sleeping so soundly that we didn't want to wake you up. Plus, you needed to rest."
