Hohenheim

Edward begins to walk towards Hohenheim, who is standing before a grave and looking at us. I follow without knowing exactly what to do or what to say. The only thing I know is that Edward isn't going to run into that man's arms crying tears of joy.

If anything, Edward is only looking at him with rage.

"Hello, Edward," Hohenheim says. "It looks like you've grown a bit taller. Do you mind introducing me?"

"Hell, no!" Edward says angrily. "Why the hell are you back?!"

"I came to see Pinako," he replies. "And I was also going to see," he points to the burned down house at the top of a hill, "why that had happened."

The house belonged to Edward and Alphonse before they burned it to the ground.

"We couldn't have anything to tempt us to turn back," Edward says. "It's a symbol of our resolve."

"No it isn't," Hohenheim replies. "You only did it so you could run away."

Edward turns back to me, still looking angry. "We'll need a place to stay. The only option is the Rockbell's."

"You decide," I tell him.

Edward takes me hand and starts walking. Hohenheim is walking some meters behind us, definitely going to the same place we are.

"Ed?" I ask.

"Yeah?" he says.

I hesitate. I need to put my words the right way before I open my mouth. "If I may..." then I sigh. "Forget it. I'd react the same way."

He squeezes my hand. "Yeah, I knew you of all people would understand if it had to come down to this."

"Is he going to stay at Pinako's too?" I ask.

"Most likely," Edward replies with a tad of disgust. "I don't... I don't want anything to do with that man. I can't even look at him."

For the rest of the road, we stay in silence. Edward and I say hello nicely to Pinako once we get there, but then, Edward takes me to a bedroom and closes the door.

"Well," I say. "What now?"

"We wait for him to leave," he replies and sits down on the bed.

I sit next to him and lean my head on his shoulder.

"Can I ask you a favor?" he asks.

"Sure."

"Don't go exploring on your own," he says. "Not tonight."

"Of course," I promise him.

Then he's the one to lean his head on my shoulder. He looks deep in thought, and his eyes have that hint of guilt again.

I hold his chin with my thumb and index finger and lift his face up a bit, so that I can kiss his lips softly. Edward kisses me back with the same softness and he makes the kiss a bit more intense after a while. His automail arm goes around my waist and he uses his free hand to caress my thigh. Then he trails his kisses down my neck and hits my sweet spot, making a few moans escape my mouth. He slowly pushes my body so that we're both lying down on the bed, with his body on top of mine. He returns to kiss my lips passionately, then my neck again. But just when he's getting stronger, he stops himself and lies next to me, breathing a bit heavily.

He smiles. "I..." he trails off.

I take his hand and stroke the back of his palm with my thumb. "Yeah?"

"I love you, Alice," he says with a smile and looking at my eyes.

"I love you too," I reply smiling.
