Shawn
"So Shawn, your EP did really good! And...", Brooklyn, the interviewer who sat in front of me, couldn't even finish her sentence without my fans screaming in the small audience around us. Brooklyn smiled over at them chuckling to herself before smiling back at me.
"They love you." She chuckled as the high pitched screams ruptured again. I nodded and couldn't help but chuckle myself.
"I know, I love them too.". The crowd awed.
"Awe." Brooklyn mumbled. I just smiled and chuckled yet again.
"You were saying?" I asked.
"Right, I had almost forgot. I think it's the affect you have on us Shawn." She laughed.
"Awe, no. I'd like to think so though." I blushed.I made myself more comfortable in the leather armchair I sat in as Brooklyn sat closer to the edge on hers. She sat with one leg crossed over the other, holding a stack of cards in her hands. She looked no older than twenty five. She was blonde and very pretty. She was a very popular interviewer.
"So, what I was trying to say is when are you releasing an album?" Brooklyn asked. The crowd went crazy. I figured that they would react a completely different way if they really knew where I was with my album process, and that was nowhere.I decided just to answer truthfully without giving too much information away.
"I will be releasing an album..." The crowd screeched in joy but as I further continued I could hear the squeals die down.
"Eventually. I'm working on it, I just want it to be perfect.". The crowd awed making me feel a bit better. Brooklyn began to speak out to the fans but I zoned out and heard none of it.Truthfully I should have had an album out by now. My EP did great and because of that I feel more pressure to release an album from the music business. Andrew would like an album out too since an album led to a world tour. I wanted an album as well but what I really needed was more time, and with every passing day I was running out of it.
"Shawn, can we ask you one more question before I let you go and mingle with your fans?" Brooklyn asked with a wide grin.I pulled myself out of my thoughts and came back to reality.
"Yeah, sure." I smiled. Brooklyn looked over at the crowd full of my fans.
"I'm sure you girls out there are all wondering this." Brooklyn chuckled before looking at me.
"Are you still on the market?". Brooklyn wiggled her eyebrows making me chuckle.
"I am." I replied blushing once again.
"Did you hear that ladies? You still have a chance!" Brooklyn screamed and the crowd went wild.
"Shawn, you are always a pleasure. Thank you for hanging out with us, and I can speak for myself but I think we all can't wait to see what you have for us next. Hopefully we will get an album soon!" She stood up holding her arms out, waiting for my embrace. Hopefully, I thought. I stood up and gave her a quick hug before running over to my fans to spend some time with them.~~~
Right after spending some time with my fans Andrew and I had to quickly leave so we could make it to our meeting with David Taylor. David Taylor was one of the top producers who worked in the music business. He dealt with a lot of artist's careers and I happened to be one of them.
"Mr. Taylor is ready to see you." The secretary behind the desk in front of us said looking over at me and Andrew. I felt like I was in a doctors office.Andrew and I both got up from the chairs we were asked to sit in and followed the woman, who looked no older than twenty seven, to David Taylor's office. Once we walked into the office David stood up.
"Andrew! Shawn!" He said, shaking our hands just before we all sat down.
David was a skinny man, he looked no older than forty and always wore the nicest suits. He looked like a million dollars and maybe that's because he was. He was made of money and he was the best in the business. I bet it was because he was so persistent. His office had clear glass walls, a large wooden desk and a beautiful view looking over New York. On one side of the room tons of records, mostly gold, were hung on the glass wall. Artists from Taylor swift to Justin Bieber were the names that belonged to those records. David meant business.
