Chapter 23: Drifting Apart?

SPOV

I woke up to see that I was sleeping on Ally's chest and she was sleeping still. She looked peaceful and amazing. I checked my phone and saw that I got a text from Sarah.

Sarah: Beach today? Looking forward to see you!!

Me: Yea! I'll see you at 4.

I wasn't looking forward to hang out with her because I know that it's gonna be awkward and shit but I want to convince her that going back and forth to California is not worth it. I want her to stay for good in New York because that been her dream since she was a kid.

I began reading our conversations from last year and from when we were still together. I couldn't help but smile.

"Who are you texting?" Ally said with her sexy morning voice.
I looked at her as she rubbed her eyes. She looked tired.

"Sarah just texted me where we're gonna talk." I said as I laid down next to her and cuddled into her chest again. She was hot, like literally. She began coughing too.

"Are you okay? Are you sick?" I asked as I was getting worried.

"Uh, my throat is just sore and I'm really dizzy. Nothing too dangerous." Ally said as I put my hand on her forehead to check her temperature. She was on fire.

"Ally, you're burning hot." I said with worry in my tone.

"I know." She said as she laughed weakly.

"No, you're literally burning. Do you want me to cancel my hang out with Sarah so I can look after you?" I said.

"No, don't! I'm fine. You don't have to look after me, I want you to have fun." Ally said as she smiled weakly.

"I don't wanna leave you here alone! You're really sick Ally, let me take care of you." I yelled while she smiled.

"Stevie. I told you it's actually alright." She said as she smiled.

"No I'm gonna take care of y--" her phone rang.

APOV

I feel like complete shit. I looked at my phone and saw that Celine was calling. I looked back up to Stevie and she nodded. I picked it up.

"Hello?" I said weakly.

"Hey, are you free today?" Celine asked as Stevie looked at me worried.

"You can come over if you want. *cough*" I said weakly.

'Let me talk to her' Stevie mouthed to me. I handed her the phone.

SPOV

"Hey Celine, I was wondering if you could look after Ally. She wants me to go hang out and have a fun time with my friend and I can't do anything about it. So can you do that for me?" I said as Ally just coughed.

"Sure! I can babysit Ally for you. I can be there at 4 maybe?" Celine said as she laughed.

"Great. That's awesome. Thanks, I owe you one." I said as I hung up.
