RECAP — TRUTH BEHIND THE LAYER TILL NOW

It started with a DNA report.

Khushi found it, opened it, and told her husband that Aarav — the little boy their houseguest Sheetal had brought into Shantivan — was his son. Arnav, who had already told her his relationship with Sheetal was purely platonic, was devastated by her distrust. Khushi, drowning in weeks of unaddressed insecurity, couldn't let it go. Both of them were right in their pain. Both of them were wrong in how they handled it. Neither of them said the full thing they needed to say — and that half-silence cost them everything that followed.

The same night, Arnav came home from his mother's garden, where he had spent hours crying and finally understanding his own failures — that telling Khushi "it's platonic" once was not assurance, that he had ignored her growing fears, that he had taken her for granted. He meant to talk to her. But he found her already asleep, exhausted from her own reckoning. He sat beside her. And then he fainted — dangerously low blood sugar, no food, no medicine, the whole day gone. Neither of them was conscious when morning came. Akash and NK found them and rushed them to the hospital. The doctors revealed Khushi had been hit on the head with an iron water bottle — a third-grade concussion. The attacker was Aarav, who had come into their room late at night, been told he couldn't see ASR, and had a manic episode. Nobody knew then what they know now: that Aarav is not Sheetal's son at all. He is the biological son of Sneha Saxena and Shyam Manohar Jha — Sneha had left him at an orphanage as a newborn after Shyam's betrayal, Sheetal had illegally adopted him, and the two of them — Sheetal and Shyam — had been using the boy as a tool to get into the Raizada house and eventually claim Arnav's property. They manipulated Aarav's health to mirror Arnav's diabetes, trained him in basketball, and fed him the lie that ASR was his father. The result was a child with Bipolar Personality Disorder, triggered every time someone denied him his invented father. He didn't remember what he did during episodes.

While Arshi recovered in the hospital, the rest of the story unraveled fast. Sneha arrived at Shantivan looking for ASR, carrying evidence on Shyam — who had escaped jail and had been caught by her men sneaking into Arnav and Khushi's room the same night Aarav attacked Khushi. NK found Shyam's bracelet on the poolside stairs. Sheetal and Aarav were found unconscious in their guest room and admitted to hospital — and it was there, in front of the entire Raizada family, that Sneha stepped forward and said for the first time: I'm Aarav's mother. The family didn't believe her immediately. Manorama and Anjali resisted hardest. But the evidence was there — Om Prakash's secretly recorded video of Sneha and Sheetal's argument at the orphanage, Sheetal confessing she was using Aarav with Shyam's permission, Aarav's true parentage confirmed. Shyam was sent back to jail, Sheetal was arrested, and Aarav began psychiatric treatment under Dr. Rohan Vyas. Sneha stayed with him.

Meanwhile, Arnav had started pulling at a different thread. He overheard Manorama mutter the name "Kavya Mehrotra" — and when he searched it, the pieces fell into place. Kavya Mehrotra was Khushi's biological mother, killed fifteen years ago in what was recorded as a car accident. Ayush Mehrotra, Kavya's brother-in-law and Khushi's biological uncle, appeared at Shantivan's door. Khushi had no memory of him — her memories before age nine were erased by the trauma of the accident and what followed. Ayush's wife Maya had been admitted to hospital, apparently having attempted suicide — but the doctor found evidence of handprints on her wrist, suggesting she had been attacked. Someone, somewhere, wanted Maya dead before she could speak. Arnav had Aman begin digging into Manorama's full history — suspecting, correctly, that her hatred of Khushi was not about class at all but about something much older. Anjali, meanwhile, was still in contact with Shyam through Manorama's phone via a bribed constable — she had even helped him escape jail — and when Arnav confronted her with the evidence, she dismissed it, defended Shyam, demanded her share of the ancestral property, and all but declared war on her own brother. Manorama, seeing Arnav go to Mumbai for an emergency, used his absence to plant photoshopped photos of Khushi in an apparent affair — sent them to Arnav to destroy his trust in his wife. It didn't work. Arnav came back knowing the photos were fabricated. Khushi, who had overheard Manorama planning it, finally gathered the courage to tell her husband everything she had heard.
