Best Friend Turned Boyfriend!

Back Seat!

I didn't have anymore lectures with Ry after the first one. So I didn't see him much after the lunch.

Here, I was sitting in my last class of the day,thinking about everything that happened today. I felt a little hurt when Ry didn't even notice that I left the table during lunch.

I ignored this uneasy feeling and tried to concentrate on the very boring lecture going on. If the sir continued for two more minutes, I wouldn't be responsible for sleeping.

I was almost ready to go in a deep sleep when the bell rang startling me. Everyone started to move out while I stretched my arms and yawned. Slowly I gathered my books and got up and left the class.

I went to the parking lot and made my way to Ry's car. I leaned against it waiting for Ry to come quickly so I can go to home and drop on my bed.
Yeah I know I am lazy.

After five long minutes of waiting I finally saw Ry coming out of the school. My happiness of seeing him instantly vanished when I saw that he wasn't alone. Amelia was once again with him. I found myself getting irritated with her constant presence near Ry.

" Hey Ana, look who's coming with us today? " Ry asked me excitedly when he came to me where I was standing leaning against his car.

" Who? " I asked in a bored voice even though I perfectly knew who he was talking about. " Amelia." He grinned stupidly not even bothering to hide his happiness and excitement. Behind him, Amelia chuckled a little at his excitement and I once again found myself getting irritated at the sound of her annoying chuckle.

" Really? Cool. " I shrugged awkwardly. I straightened myself and made a move to open the passenger door of the car when Ry opened it using the lock on his key but a hand on my arm stopped my action.

" What? " I raised an eyebrow at Ry after I saw that he was the one who stopped me from getting in.

He rubbed the back of his neck and said, " Ana if you don't mind can you sit on the back seat please."

My eyes widened and I can't believe what I heard. He never once said to me to sit on the back seat. Anyone who would come in the car always knew that I always sit in front.

Seeing my expression he said a bit desperately, " Please Ana. Try to understand. Amelia is here. She will be sitting for the first time in my car and I want her to sit in front with me. This way I can talk to her and know more about her. "

I, for my life couldn't understand what the hell is wrong with this guy. Just yesterday, we both were having fun and were playing Xbox at my house and here today he's pinning over a girl he just met five hours ago. He's seriously one dumb person.

But I was immensely hurt due to his behavior. It's like Amelia matters more to him than me and she's slowly replacing my place.

I know I sound stupid since today is the first day we met her but I can already see it happening.

I guess Ry sensed I was upset so he made a move to talk but I held up my hand and silently opened the back door and sat inside. I know that Ry felt bad for upsetting me but I am not going to say ' its alright ' just to make him feel better.

Since we both were talking in hushed whispers, Amelia didn't hear our talk.

I saw Amelia getting in the passenger seat and Ry getting in the driver seat. He turned and offered me a small smile but I turned to the window ,not before seeing his face fell.

He pulled out from the parking lot and after two minutes of silence, Amelia started talking to him and he responded enthusiastically to her every question. He glanced at me several times but I didn't look at him once. I continued to ignore both of them.

I also heard Amelia asking me something but seeing that I wasn't going to reply, Ry quickly answered for me, probably trying not to upset her.

After more ten minutes of the horrible car drive in my entire life, Ry finally pulled up next to my house. He turned his head probably to say something to me but I didn't give him a chance to speak anything and quickly scrambled out of the car and rushed to the house.

I heard his car pulling out from my driveway and I made my way inside the house. I could hear my mom and dad talking lovingly to each other.

Even after so many years of their marriage they still behave as if they are youngsters and I love them all the more for it. My dad is very protective of me seeing I am his only daughter and although his over protective nature sometimes annoy me, I still love him very much.

Not wanting to disturb their lovey dovey moment, I slowly went upstairs to my room. I changed myself in my Pj's and got on the bed.

A moan escaped from my mouth when I felt the softness of the bed below me. I sighed and prepared to drown myself in an endless sleep when I heard my cell ringing.

Ughh! Why is this life so cruel? Why did my cell have to ring now only when I was just preparing to go for a long blissful sleep.

Sighing once again, I looked at the table beside my bed where my cell was kept. It was at a little distance and being the lazy person I am, I didn't get up from the bed. Instead I tried extending my hand as far as I can and when even that didn't help, I put my one palm on the floor followed by the other and brought my upper body forward with my lower body still on the bed.

I know I am very lazy, no need to point out.

After a few more seconds of trying I finally got the hold of my cell and pushed myself back on the bed. I panted a bit due to the heavy exercise I did just now.

I am a very fit person. No, seriously! I can run a mile and not break even a drop of sweat but I am also very lazy especially when I am in bed and someone asks me to do something.
Like now.

I looked at the cell to see that it stopped ringing. Damn! All that exercise for nothing. I unlocked my cell to see who called me and was surprised see it was from Ry.

If it would have been any other day I would have called him back snapping at him for disturbing me when I was about to sleep but not today. This time I was angry with him so I just ignored his call and tried to sleep.

I won't be feeling anything for Amelia if Ry would have behaved like he normally did. But since he was giving special treatment to her, I can't help but feel a little annoyed. I know there is no reason for me to be annoyed and angry but I am and I can't help it.

I also know that I only said if Ry likes her then I won't come in between them but I don't know why I feel like I have seen Amelia somewhere and just don't know where. And this is what makes me more irritated that I can't remember where I have seen her.

Maybe that's the reason I feel these unwelcoming vibes from her. I won't let her hurt Ry. If I think I know her which I certainly am then I know she has a good reason to be here and until and unless I find it, I won't rest.
