Lucas POV: I was up all night thinking about that girl Avery. We really connected and I haven't seen her since then. Not that I know of anyway. Class is going to start soon. Yay.

"Lucas! You're first, and then Maya." Mr.Matthews said after the bell rang.

I smiled then got up in front of the class and read my essay to the class.

"My essay is about a girl I met at am airport, when I was moving to New York. We met at Starbucks and I bought her a frappè. We talked for a few hours, because my flight was delayed. I was really surprised when she told me she was on the same flight, and had the seat next to mine. This girl's name was Avery. When we got on the plane she explained why she was visiting Texas, I then tried explaining why I was moving to New York. She seemed pretty interested. We eventually talked about things that are important to us. Avery likes art and music, but she never really had the opportunity to explore her passion. She asked me questions and she seemed surprised when I told her I lived on a horse ranch. Avery said it was because I was in cargo shorts, a orange t-shirt and brand new sneakers. She assumed I was from a city, I assumed that we connected on flight 631. Afted the flight we said goodbye and went our separate ways. I haven't seen Avery since then."

When I finished reading my essay I sat down and Maya got up, kinda of shaking. The whole time she read her essay she looked at me.

Maya POV: when Lucas read his essay I wasn't paying attention u.til he said the name Avery. But I had to read my essay to bring up my grade.

"This essay is about a boy named Wes, that I met at an airport, in Texas, who bought me a frappè. He was in nice clothes and he said nice things to me like, "Your eyes are beautiful" and "Maybe we can see a movie sometime". Wes seemed like the kind of guy that I can open up to. I told him how I want to be an artist. He seemed very understanding about how I never had a chance to explore that passion and he said he liked baseball and he never made the team. Wes said he'd try out for the team at his new school and I told him that I'll come see one of his games. I did feel like we connected on flight..." I stopped, it was silent and everyone was either looking at me or Lucas and then I said, "on flight 631"

The whole class went silent, me and Lucas were staring at each other, not knowing what has happened. As soon as the bell rang to leave everyone made a circle around us.

They said things like, "You connected" "Why did you lie about your names?" "You had no idea you've met before?"

Lucas and I pushed through them and went to Topangas Bakery. I was really nervous to talk about this with "Wes".
