What Can I Say?

Ch. 9: Bridal Shower

*Emily's point of view*

Today is the day of my bridal shower and I'm totally excited! Claire and Anthony planned it and I'm sure that it will be nothing less than perfection. They rented out some beautiful very classsy banquet hall for my party and I'm sure the whole thing will be a really fun time. It'll be nice to have some down time. It's been crazy planning for all these wedding events. Between engagement photoshoots, interviews, magazine covers, and also having tour, we've also had to plan all of our wedding events for when Niall got back home. This is the first one. In a couple of days we will  have our engagement party, then we both have our bachelor/bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinner, family fittings, interviews and appearances, I'm under a lot of stress right now. I know what you're thinking, 'why didn't you plan your bridal shower for  before he came home. It would've been one more event out of the way, less stress, and more free time before the wedding.' Well it has  been so chaotic since the day I got engaged that I haven't been thinking clearly since then. Besides Anthony & Claire are both traditionalists. So am I, I guess, but they both said its nice when the groom makes an appearance. So I talked it over with Niall and he said  he wants to be there for  every wedding event. So therefore, we waited. But planning the guest list for this thing, was insane.

*flashback*

"This isn't just any bridal shower Emily, it's your bridal shower. It will be nothing less than perfection! Right Anthony?!"  Claire said.

"Yes, of course!" Anthony agreed.

"Now I understand you're a little panicked and under a lot of stressed right now. So therefore me and Anthony took care of your bridal shower for you. Well, not that it concerns you, because you aren't really supposed to plan your own shower anyway! Haha anywho, I know you said you wanted a small wedding. But I don't know how many times Anthony and I have to explain this to you! There is no such thing as a small wedding in Hollywood. None. Even if they are small they aren't even called small they're called 'intimate' which is romantic, but on the other hand not suitable for you. Plus there is just no way we could possibly pull that off with the size of your families! For Pete's sake you're marrying an Irish-Catholic guy! Plus Niall is to big in Hollywood right now, so there's another reason we can't have a small wedding. Yes, granted there are less extravagant weddings, but again, that's not happening. So back to what I was trying to say, here's the guest list." Claire said talking a mile a minute. In case you haven't noticed Claire's always had a little trouble getting to the point on things.

"Okay, I'm a little nervous but go ahead." I said apprehensively.

"Okay! Anthony come sit by Emily to comfort her!"

Oh no.

"Anthony is a trained masseuse and is really good at helping people de-stress, which is a really great quality in a wedding planner!" Claire said perkily.

"Why what happened?!" Anthony asked panicked.

"I'm about to read her the guest list for the bridal shower" Claire said.

"Oh boy here we go!" Anthony said. He immeddiatly sat down next to clutching my hand and telling me too breathe. Okay, I'm getting serious anxiety right now.

"Okay! Here we go!" Claire said about to start reading from her list.
