What Can I Say?

Ch. 6: Saying Yes

*Emily's point of view*

            Everything is crazy. We've been back from Greece for about six months now and we have only four months left until the wedding. It's unbelievable how fast time flies. We have almost every detail of this wedding done. All of the most important stuff anyway. We're getting married in New York at the Waldorf Astoria! I can't wait to be married though. I can't even find the words to  explain my excitement. Everything is coming together wonderfully. The only thing I still need to get is my dress.  But I have my appointment at Kleinfeld tomorrow!

"And who is my bride?" 

"That would be me!" I raised my hand politely so my consultant could know which one I was. "Hello Emily, I'm Allison and I'll be working with you today. And who do we have with us today?" 

"I brought my mom, sister and maid of honor Molly, best friend and maid of honor  Claire, and my other two best friends/bridesmaids Marie and Perrie. My future mother-in-law and future sister-in-law Maura and Denise, and my grandma." I said. "Alrighty! If you want to follow me back, we can start looking for dresses!" 

"So tell me a little bit about your fiance!" 

Well I could go on and on here. "My fiance is Niall Horan, he's in the band One Direction. We met at a party through mutual friends. He's the  love of my life! He proposed to me while we were on vacation in Greece, the place I've always wanted to go, on a rooftop restaurant in front of all our closest friends and family!" "Oh yeah! I saw you guys on the Today Show! You looked amazing!" she said. "Aww thank you so much!" I responded. "And when's  the wedding?" "May 21st." 

"Wow, we are getting close!" she said. When we set the date it seemed like an eternity! I can't believe we are only four  months away!

"Alright, so what kind of dresses do we have in mind today?" she asked. "I was thinking a mermaid style, something that is fitting. I don't want a ballgown, I'm getting married in the summer so I don't want anything to heavy." 

"Ok great! Let's  get started!"

She left to  go get some dresses as I waited in the beautiful dressing room. I looked down at my ring and thought about Niall. Every time I look at my ring amazing and happy memories flood my mind. I  miss him so much when he's on tour. I'm lucky I have Claire, because she's easy to talk to when I tell her about missing Niall. She can totally relate. But sadly she's not here a lot because she's flying back and forth from here to the U.K. She has been looking for an apartment over there because of all the work she's doing with Little Mix helping them and preparing for the tour and all. I'm going to miss her and Niall. But the good news is, in four months, I'll be with him everyday for the rest of my life. 

I was torn from my thoughts when Allison came back. "I have dresses! So which dress should we try first?" she cheered. They were all  gorgeous designer gowns.  The first one that caught my eye was a stunning strapless sweetheart silk dress, I was in love. "I  love that one!" I pointed to the Vera Wang gown. "Perfect! I thought you would! Let's try it!" 

Wow. I couldn't be more in love with the dress. That feeling they talk about is  so real. At this point, even if my family hates it, I have to get this dress, there's no doubt in my mind. 

"Emily, you look gorgeous!" Allison said. And I was so happy in that moment, I was ready to walk down the aisle. "I love it!" I managed to get out. "Me too! Let's go show them!"

As we walked out to go see everyone I was getting so nervous to see their faces and hear their opinions on my dream dress. 

"Oh my gosh! You look amazing!" was the first reaction from Claire. Everyone else was gasping and going on and on about how gorgeous the dress was and how  stunning I looked  in it. "Aww Emily you're  crying!" my sister pointed out.  I didn't even realize it until she said it. I've never felt so beautiful in my entire life. "You look beautiful honey!" my mom was tearing up too. "I love this so much!" I said. "I can't believe it." my sister said. "Emily let's jack you up! Oh Randy!" called  Allison. Randy came over with a stunning veil and the most gorgeous pair of diamond earrings. "Ok Emily, turn around."                              

  Instant tears. I couldn't stop crying. Everyone who was with me was crying. Even Allison! "Emily, I think it's time to ask...Are you saying yes to the dress?" 

"I am saying yes to the dress!"
