The Liar

Layla's POV

      I had a terrible feeling like something bad is going to happen. Zinnia is going to be spending time with her nephew and I will be by myself today. Well, until three p.m that is.

      I grabbed the Book. "What is the next clan that is going to be moving here? How will it affect us?" The book turned to the page.

      The Knight Clan is part of the Blair Clan. They are cousins and will try to destroy anyone that threatens the leader. They are known to be the most ruthless clan there is. Also, they are known to be close with the Draven Clan. The leaders, Errick Draven and Mason Knight, are almost closer than Layla Havardr and Zinnia Edwards. They are destructive together.

      It just stopped. There was nothing else on them. So, if they come together, they can possibly kill everyone here? This is really fucked up.

      "Well, there is nothing to do here, so I might just go to the mall." I whispered to myself. I went and showered, and did the normal things. After that, I got dressed and had an apple for breakfast. I grabbed my car keys and headed for my baby. A '86 Dodge Challenger and I headed for the mall.

      I walked into the mall and I saw Kade, with his group of friends. I just walked right by them. Kade didn't see me, but, he seen the girl behind me. What skimpy looking girls today.

      "Hey, how about that girl with the beanie? She's got a nice ass and she looks curvy as hell." Corbin, Kade's beta, said. I think that they were talking about me. I'm the only one with a beanie.

      "Hey, beautiful. What are you doing after this?" Corbin said as he walked up to me.

      "I think that you might need to walk away. I am not interested." I said as I turned around. Kade growled at Corbin and he grabbed my hand.

      "What are you doing here?" He growled at me.

       "First, don't growl at me. Second, you're not my father and I can go where I want. I also happen to know that you were looking at other girls."

      "It's not like you don't look at other guys."

      "Actually I don't. But, I'll start doing it now." I pouted at him. I never really pouted at someone before.

      He softened up. "I'm so sorry, baby. We'll shop with you then. All of us."

      All of the guys groaned. I then hear a little boys voice. "Mr. Kade, who is she?"

      He was so sweet. I bent down to his level. "Hey, there, sweetie. I'm Layla Havardr and you are?" I asked him with a sweet smile.

     He smiled up to me. "My name is Aidan Knight." My smile dropped at the last name, but, none of the less, I still smile.

       "Are you related to Mason Knight, by any chance?"

       "Yes. My parents gave me away though. So, I stay with Mr. Kade. Mason is my brother."

       "So, what are you doing with these dorks? Aren't you bored?" Kade growled playfully at that.

       "Yes. They were supposed to take me shopping, but, they wanted to look at girls, except for Kade. He kept comparing them to you in every single category." Kade looked shocked at the five year old. I just giggled and Kade softened even more.

       "Well, how about me and you hangout, since everyone left me today, hm?" Aidan cheered. I picked him up and Kade and them followed us. "Why are you following us?"

       "I told you that we will shop with you. The guys will happily to do it for their luna. Won't you?" The guys all murmured their agreements, which made me laugh.

       "You are so cute, Kade."

       "I don't do cute, baby. I'm a werewolf. Alpha at that." Kade said with a husky voice. That sounded so sexy.

        "Mmm, well, you are a smexy alpha. I give you props for that."

         We went to a shoe shop were James, my gay best friend works at.

       "Boo, there you are. You also got hot guys with you. Congrats!" James and me hugged.

       James is also part of our clan. He is considered my beta. "Aidan, this is my best friend, James. James, this Aidan. He is an adorable little boy."

      James shook his hand and turned to face me. "So, what are you looking for today, Lay?"

      "I am actually looking for some new vans or cons. I need a new pair of skating shoes."

      "Why didn't you go to Zumi's?"

      "I don't have a store discount card because I shop there a lot, now do I?" James just laughed at me and the others looked confused. "I would also like to get a pair of boots for Aidan. Winter is coming up fast and he needs a pair."

       "So, which one first, Lay?"

       "Aidan's. I like to take my time picking mine, especially if it's my skating shoes." We went to little boys and Aidan picked out a pair of black military looking boots. Then, we went to women's.

       "Okay. I remember, a size 7 1/2 and plain colors, with no light colors. This should be easy." He pulled out some really dark colors and then, some of the light colors that I like. I picked out a pair of purple colored vans and then a pair of galaxy vans. Kade looked surprised but, I was waiting for these damn shoes to come out in my size.

       "This will be $67.89. And with a store discount, it will be $54.67. Thank you and have a good day." I snorted at him. His boss came out of his office.

      "Hey, is that Zinnia and Xander?" I look over and it was. Where was her nephew?

      She saw me and she looked terrified. "Layla, I'm sorry, but, I really wanted to hangout with him today. I'm sorry I lied to you."

       I just smiled at her, even though it did hurt a little bit. "It's fine, Zinny. I just wished you would have told me. I'm not mad at you." She sighed in relief.

       "That's good. I'm going to be with him tomorrow, too." She left with that.

    "I'm going to be hanging out with my friends, if that's alright, baby?"

    I smiled, not showing that I would be upset that I will be alone. "Of course. Go have fun. I'll be alright." And with that, I left.

      I was alone in my house. I would usually have Zinnia over, but, she was over at Xander's house. Kade is still with his friends.

     "Book, can you tell me more about this situation?"

      You are going to be faced with many challenges. You alone, for now, will have to face the first wave of evil. Those who are alone, come out most victorious. They have nothing to lose, but, much to gain. Do you need to know anything else, young one?

      "Can you tell me the story of the Lost One?"

      The was a young girl of teenage years. She had her best friend and her true love. But, they were never really around her. She decided that she wasn't going to sit there and wait for them. She started to travel to other villages and meet new people. She was walking through the woods, when she found out that she was lost. Not physically, but, in the minds of the ones that matter to her. Her best friend and her lover were with each other, in the most scandalous ways yet. The girl found out and she stayed in the woods. She ended up getting robbed, rapped and killed. They found her body and it was crystallized. Her lover saw her and he ended up killing himself. Her best friend, lost herself and was murdered. But, the young girl never went where they did, no. She stayed on earth, roaming, helping the lost ones. She always said, 'I've always been alone, it does not mean that you have to.' No one has seen her crystallized body, but, if you ever find it, and help her, she will help you.

      "Thank you." I closed the book and started to think. After five minutes of thinking, I went to bed. Tired and happy.
