Fighting

Layla's POV

     "Lay, are you okay?" James asked.
     "No. I feel terrible today and I just don't know what it is." I replied to him. He was in my kitchen getting ready for work and I was getting ready for school.
     "You are getting sick. You need to stay home today. I'll call the school to let them know." He pulled out his phone and messaged someone. "I let Zinny know that you are sick and not going to school. I'll let the school know on my way to work."
     I nodded my head and went to lay on the couch. I am so bored.

Zinnia's POV

     "Where's Layla?" Kade asked me.
     "At home. She is sick, meaning that after school, we need to work on the project there." I said. Everyone in our group agreed. My phone started to ring.
     "Hey, Lay. Do you need something?" She sneezed.
     "Hey, Zinny. I need more tea before you guys come over." How did she know we were coming over? "Zin, I am a witch, I know most things."
     "Whoops. I forgot. But, what kind of tea do you want?" Kade was listening very intently.
     "Green tea if you can find it. I have enough honey and mint." She had a really bad coughing fit. Kade went and asked the teacher if we can leave school early to take care of Layla and work on our project. She said yes.
     "We are going to the store now, Lay. We'll be there in five minutes."
     True to my words, we were there in five minutes. "The door is locked." Brittany pointed out the obvious.
     "No shit, Sherlock. When did you get so smart?" I sassed back at her. I pulled out my keys and unlocked the door. "Layla, we are here."
     Kade walked to where Layla was like he's been here before. She was in the living room watching Once Upon A Time. "Is it the Peter Pan one?" I asked her.
     She smiled at me and right after that, she started coughing really bad. Kade started rubbing her back and he held her to his side. "What's wrong with her?" You can tell he was worried.
     "Well, it's either from not her mate being around or she's dying." I told him. He looked terrified. "But, since her heart is still beating and she is breathing, it's from you not wanting to spend time with her. Witches get really sick when their mates don't want them."
     "Zinnia, I told you not to say anything about it." Layla looked a bit angry.
     "I'd rather have you living and angry at me then dead and unhappy." I replied back.
     We were nothing staring at each other for the longest time. James decided to walk through the door. We both looked to him and then smiled. "Lay, you look so much better!" He smiled. He looked to Kade. "You need to start making time for her. She has more people in her clan than both of your packs put together. If you can't handle that little pack, then you shouldn't be an alpha."
     Layla got a distant look on her face. "Lay, what's wrong?" I asked her.
     "One of the children were attacked by a wolf." And with that we ran out of the house to where the child was.

Layla's POV

     When we reached the child, Zinnia had to look away. The child was bleeding badly and had many gashes and bite marks.
     "We can't move him. I need some space if I'm going to heal the big wounds. After that then we can move the child." The mom, Elizabeth, kept her son's, Drake, head on her lap. Drake wasn't older than ten.
      My hands shook as they glowed white. The small wounds started healing immediately. But the bigger ones, would need stitches.
     "Okay, we need him to be moved into the house. He will need stitches and then he can go home and rest there." The men moved him to my house and placed him on a bed in the room we use for emergencies like this. "James, my hands are shaking to bad, I need you to do the stitches." He nodded and got to work. I looked at the other kids that were with him. "Did you guys see who did this?"
     A little girl named Selene, spoke up. "It was a guy that came with the Blair witch. I looked inside of his mind and she told him to make you pay for taking Alpha Kade."
     James was done with stitches and he looked at me. We both knew what we had to do. I looked over at Elizabeth. "He needs to stay in bed until he feels the need to walk." She smiled at me and the men took them home.
     We walked down stairs and we saw Zinny sitting down with Xander holding her, Brittany was sitting in between Errick and Mason, and Kade was walking towards me. I asked Selene to stay with me.
     "Drake will be fine. He was attacked by a wolf that came with Brittany." James said.
     "How can you even prove that?" She said quite smugly.
     "Selene, sweetie, did you see her arrive with a werewolf?" I asked her. She nodded her head. "What did she tell him?" She told them exactly what she told me.
     "Well, the brat is good at being a witch, but she can never beat a werewolf." Like right after that, a werewolf that goes to our school came walking in.
     Kade growled. "Greg, what are you doing?"
     "I'm doing what my mate wants. She wants Layla dead." Greg said with an evil smile.
     Before Greg could have even shift, Kade shifted into his black wolf and had a dead Greg in his mouth. Xander had a wounded Brittany in his mouth.
     "Brittany, I am disappointed in you. I thought you were better than this." Mason tsked. "You are no longer in charge of the Blair clan. I will take it over." He looked to me. "Layla, I am sorry for what my idiotic cousin did today. I will pay for all the damages caused."
     Kade and Xander was shifted back into their human forms and they were wearing shorts. James, Zinnia and I were all standing in defense. I glared at him. "No. That's fine. I don't want any help from you when I didn't get any before."
     "Layla, you are being rude." Kade told me. I turned my glare towards him. He shut right up.
     "Kade, witches are supposed to help each other in a time of need. We are in a time of need. I can feel we are fixing to go into a war. But, we will not get any of your help." I looked towards Zinnia and James. "Call the clans together. We need to give them a warning and calm down the hysteria."
     They left to go get the clans. I walked outside after composing myself and I saw the clans and the others. "My wonderful family, you all have heard of Drake getting attacked by a wolf." I paused. I was getting upset. "But that won't happen again. None of these children are getting hurt again. I swear, the next person that tries to hurt our clan... Well, let's just say, they won't live to see another day." The clans roared at that. 
      "Also," Zinnia started. "We have a feeling that, that was just a warning. We want everyone to be on the look out. No one is hiding their powers anymore."

Kade's POV

     My beautiful mate looks stunning taking control of her clan. That James guy started talking. "We should try to stay in groups. If you can't, then you know how to summon protective animals."
     My Layla started talking again. "No more hiding, no more letting people walk over us. We are going to start fighting back. We will win!" She really knows how to make her clan feel like they can win this.
     "My pack will help. I mean we are mates, love." I told her. She looked grateful.
     "We'll help too." Xander said looking straight at Zinnia.
      "Then let's prepare for a fight." Was Layla's last words before everyone started cheering.
