Fall Away (Sequel To "Holding On To You: A Twenty One Pilots Fanfiction")

Author's Note/Introduction

Hello! As stated in the title and description, this story is a sequel to "Holding On To You," my first TØP fanfiction (which can be found on this account). If you've already read it then you know how grateful I am for your support! 

If you do not wish to read the first book I can give you a quick synopsis:

Jessica Lightcap from Cambridge, MA attended her first year of college at Penn State University. There she met a boy named Alex. They immediately hit it off and attended a Twenty One Pilots concert together. There, Jess reconnected with old friends/neighbors, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, the band members. The three childhood friends realized how much they missed each other the past three years, and made plans to hang out. Meanwhile, Jess and Alex started dating. After hanging out with Tyler a couple of times, old feelings re-surfaced for both Jess and Tyler. Jess ended up breaking up with Alex to pursue her relationship with Tyler. After they officially began their relationship, Tyler and Josh had to leave, to continue their tour. Through FaceTime and phone calls, Tyler and Jess kept their relationship going until Thanksgiving, where they would re-unite back home. 

Jess returned home, and after a night out with her parents they came home to see Tyler's house on fire. His mom died inside. It turned out that the fire started due to candles that weren't blown out. These candles were lit by Jess's mom, who was having an affair with Tyler's dad. Both families torn apart, and Tyler reeling out of control, they helped each other through the rough time. At Tyler's mom's funeral, much to Jess's surprise, Tyler proposed in front of the entire crowd. Jess said yes due to the pressure of the audience. Not ready for a commitment, Jess struggled with her decision. She ended up breaking things off with Tyler, saying that they were both going separate ways: Tyler was going on an international tour, Jess was going back to college. Although she loved him, she knew it wouldn't work. So she suggested they both move on, and if they find themselves together again in the future when the circumstances are better, then so be it.
