I lie awake in a room shrouded in night
Not even the moon could shine it's light
Was it the darkness that compelled my thoughts?
Or my twisted head I consistently fought
My mind wanders the night's endless gaze
Forever trapped in its pain filled maze
The shadows dance in the void you left
The happiness you took like it was theft
A little red light from the stereo begins to fade
Like my heart slowly becoming dead and gray
Time at a standstill as I relive this pain
Crippling nights leave a fresh bloodstain
