Staring into the rain, I see an old friend
Their face reflected in my falling tears
I only see their face when it rains
Since it rained the day they left me
They left me for the sky, clear and blue
While I only saw grey skies and raindrops
My heart falls with the rain when I see her
Falling like the rain, away from me
I plead in the rain for you to return
With every word sending ripples through me
My heart is the rain, falling from the clouds
