josh's pov:

i wanted to know who tyler joseph was. i wanted to learn about the boy behind those terrified eyes, i wanted to make him better. why did he look so terrified? why did he run? he was an enigma, waiting to be solved.

i hadn't seen him all day since he left, i think he skipped the whole day. i couldn't get over how terrified he looked, like someone was about to unearth a terrible secret he had been hiding. today i had art, music, english, sport, maths and some random subjects, and i was hoping to see him.

it turns out we had art and music together, as well as english and maths. in art i sat next to him, and all he did was stare daggers into his paper. i wondered what happened with this kid, he was angsty. in music he sat in the piano room by himself, but i saw him take out handwritten notes and play. he looked extremely cute when he sang, even with a black eye. i actually think he was screaming for part of it, i watched.

in sport he was very very shy and uncoordinated. he had this cute little tummy that jiggled when he ran, i wanted to kiss it. unlike me, he was soft and compact. he was a pudgy little bean that i wanted to love.

i noticed today in maths that tyler wrote very carefully and slowly, and his writing was somewhat curly and feminine. he doodled little flowers and people in the margins of his books.

'i like your flowers' i told him.

he avoided my gaze.
