Chapter 14: Pat and Jen's escape

Once we get back from Horus's vision, I look at him. "So..." I ask, trailing off. He looks at me. "I'll make you invisible, like you did to me before." He says, and I nod. "Okay, why?" "Here's my plan. I'll go in after about 10 minutes, so it'll look like I just got there. 2b will follow me, so I'll have a secret weapon, but Sky won't know. I'll talk to Sky, and pretend to be pleading for her life, when 2b will try to rescue Pat and Jen. Paw and Crystal, you girls will stand watch by this door. When you see us run out, follow. Sarah, you go find Deadlox and Seto. We need to get them out. Seto had depression, he doesn't need to be dead, and Deadlox doesn't deserve to die. They both helped me, so we need to help them back. Everyone got it?" He asks, and Paw raises her hand. "Why do I have to keep watch? Can't I go with you and 2b?" Horus shakes his head no. "2b is good at untying knots quickly. There's no action in that, just pressure and stress." "I'm gonna be dangling over an endless pit, for goodness' sakes! If that's not pressure, then everything in the world is filled with flowers and happiness!!" I whisper-scream. She does puppy eyes, and then sighs when she sees it doesn't work on us. "Fine." We wait ten minutes, and the Horus turns me invisible. I creep closer to the cage, while Horus marches up to Sky. "Ah, I see you've come." Sky says. I jump up, grabbing the rope dangling from the cage, and pull myself up. Sky must be really stupid to leave this dangling here. I stick my fingers into the rope, clawing my way up. Ahead of me, Horus and Sky stand, facing each other. "How did you know I was awake?" Horus asks, and Sky chuckles. "You really are oblivious. I have your friend's powers now. I have more power than even Dimension Hoppers have now. And she can never get them back." Out of the corner of my eye, I see him checking his fingernails, like he has nothing else to do. I haul myself up to the cage, inching myself up the bars. My hand slips, and I look down. An abyss of black looms below me. I gulp, and get my grip again. I place my foot on the outer edge of the cage, and haul myself up. "Why did you want me alone?" Horus's voice asks Sky, and Sky floats down to see him. I can tell that Horus can see me watching, somehow. "Because then we can finish this fight once and for all." Sky replies, and gets out his sword. His enchanted gold sword. Horus gets out his diamond swords, and I turn back around, climbing with the sound of scraping metal behind me. I reach the door, and see Pat and Jen. Pat sees me, and taps Jen. He points at me, and her hopeless face brightens when she sees me. "8... 3... 4... 2... 5... 8..." She whispers, and I nod. I grab the lock, and type in the code. I slowly open the jail cell, and go inside. I grab Pat first, and throw him onto land. I grab Jen next, and throw her at Pat. He catches her in his arms, and she hugs him. I climb up the cage, until I'm on the top, and study my surroundings. But before I can do that, I hear Horus shout in pain, and I look down to see him against a wall, with half a heart left of health. Sky chuckles. "I thought I'd only have to kill your friend. Turns out, I have two people to kill. Goodbye, Horus." He says, and lifts his sword above his head. Then, before I can stop myself, I say...
"No."
~Horus's POV~
"No." I hear 2b say. I hold my breath, and open my eyes just enough to see her. Don't do it, 2besties. It's not worth you getting killed. Sky looks up, and sees 2b there. She has her eyes closed, and her head is tilted down slightly. "What did you say?" Sky asks, and she looks at him. "Are you deaf? I said, no." She calls, and Sky's fists clench around his sword. His face turns from rage into a smirk, and he looks at her. "I know why you came with him. It's because you want your powers back. Well, I'll let you have them. If I can kill him." She looks at me, and her look softens. Her eyes glance at Sky, and she glares at him. "How dare you even think that! He's one of my best friends! Why would I be so careless as to risk my best friend's life for my own selfish will?!" She screams, and I manage a weak smile in her direction. She looks at me, and smiles back. Pat and Jen have escaped already, and ran out the door. Sky stares at her, and flies up. "You think you can defeat me?" He scoffs. "With no powers or weapons? Weakling!" She looks straight at him, and her glare hardens again. She closes her eyes, her look still angry, and grits her teeth. She looks like she's getting madder every second. I look at the floor, when Sarah runs in. "Hey, Pat and Jen are over at the ship. Are you guys- whoa." She says, and I look up for a second. What I see shocks me.
~2besties' POV~
I glare at Sky, and close my eyes. I grit my teeth, in sadness and anger, thinking about how Sky was right. I don't have powers, or weapons. I'm defenceless. I can't do anything. I growl under my breath. Who does this guy think he is exactly?! Like, sure. He might be a famous YouTuber with 10 million subscribers, but who the cupcakes cares?! He hates squids! He calls gold butter! He swears every second of the day! I hate how everyone loves it! Even Amy Lee said that he was awesome! Hello?! He kills squids! What about Squid Nugget?!?! I feel my hair lifting as if a breeze is carrying it, but I'm distracted with my thoughts.

Only when my heels lift off the ground do I look.
