The Vampire

Chapter 10

I talked my parents into staying at the whole resort thing. They're up for it, Kurk; not so much. Kenneths house is awmazing looking, looks like its made out of glass.

"Make yourself at home," Kenneths dad Alexander replied. While starting to give the tour of the house, Kenneth pulled me aside.

"We have a problem."

"What is it?"

"You know how your shirt got caught on the branch in the woods?"

"Yea, why?"

"Lanay found it. There was tiny bit of blood on the branch, she wants your blood."

"How do you know all of this?" Kenneth took a deep, heavy breath and exhaled fog. dont know why he did that.

"I can see beyond things. I can read minds and see the future."

"Wow, so what do we do?"

"Were gonna have to kill her."

"Couldn't we just reason with her-----?"

"No. Aleera, vampires are preditors, not lovey dubby about certain things. Were gonna have to kill her."

"Fine, but if i get blood on me ill throw up."

"Consider that a deal." Around midnight we had to sneak out of the house. We walked through the woods and past a few valleys, then I heard a comotion going on in the bushes.

"Stay still, dont move an inch." Kenneth whispered.

"What is it?"

"Shes here---" Lanay dropped down from a tree and landed gracefully on her feet. She looked so beautiful; curly red hair, a thin posture, white as snow, and flamming red eyes. Lanay looked at me, then back at Kenneth. What was she thinking or doing?

"I see you brought a little snack Kenneth." Lanay said looking at me, licking her lips.

"Back off Lanay, shes done nothing to you."

"Besides the adoring smell of her blood. That I want." She started to charge at me, I just stood there. I was frozen to the ground. Kenneth pushed me out of the wasy and tackled Lanay to the ground.

"Aleera, get out of here!" Kenneth yelled as he and Lanay fought. I ran through the woods, I could hear something in the trees as I ran. Just then, a man swooped down from a vine and starled me, causeing me to fall to the ground. Completly teriffied.

"Were do you think your running of to?" The man said, coming closer to me, I kept scooting away from him as fast as I can.

"What do you want from me?"

"You and your families flesh." Kenneth came running, I couldnt hardly see him. He knocked the man into a tree and helped me up.

"Are you okay?"

"Yea."

"Corvick, leave her alone." I expected Corvick to be more scrawny, but he was well built, strong, and had chestnut eyes.

"Not until I see her blood all over the ground." Corvick came running fast around a tree to try to get behind me but Kenneth blocked his was and somehow got behind him and brock his neck causeing Corvick to fall to the ground and remained there.

"Were's Lanay?"

"I couldnt get her, she ran off. She's probably now with Lord Lacken now."

"Why is this happening?"

"I dont know but everything has to happen for a reason."

"I guess your right." When we got to Kenneths house, everything was quite. To quiet. I went looking for my parents and Kurk but saw a note that said that they all went to a store and will be back in a while. Alexander came running down the stair case.

"Dad, whats going on?" Kenneth asked.

"Lord Laken. He's here."

"Aleera, get in a closet and dont come out." I ran t othe nearest closet and sat down. It was dark and damp. A few minutes went by and I heard a harsh, crackling voice.

"Where are the humans?"

"There are no humans here." Alexander said.

"I dont believe a single word your telling me----" his voice trailed off. I saw a shadow under the crack of the closet door. It stopped. The veins in my arms started plusing through my skin and my heart was beating like mad. The door swaong open and there stood Lanay, smiling with her fangs showing. She pulled me out of the closet and had me walk as she held on to my arms.

"Thought you could hide. I could smell your blood through your veins from a mile away." When we got the dining room where Alexander, Kenneth, and Lord Laken were at the all looked at me.

"Great work Lanay." Lord Laken said. Just as he was walking toward me, Kenneth pushed him away. Lanay pulled out a pocket knife and held it to my throat.

"I wouldn't do that again if I were you Kenneth. Try it and your little bride gets it." Kenneth looked so helpless, I was scared to death. Was this how I was going to die? Alexander disappeared somewhere in the house, Lord Laken stood up, chuckling at Kenneth.

"You foolish boy, give it up already. We already have her, might as well surrender-----" there was a loud gun shot and the knife feel to the floor and I saw Lanay laying a puddle of blood, eyes opened. I looked behind me and saw Alexander holding a shotgun.

"You senial old bastard! You killed my daughter!" Lord Laken charged at Alexander, Kenneth jumped on Lakens back and they went at it; knocking pictures off the wall, leaving gashes and holes in the floor. Alexander took my hand and we ran out of the house. He took me to a black mercadies benz, and told me to get in.

"It wont be long." Alexander said and shut the door behind him. I waited for a few minutes then I heard a very loud bang. Was it Kenneth that got hurt or was it Alexander? I have never been so scared in my life. I looked at the corner of my eyes and saw two figures come out. When I got a better glance it was Alexander and Kenneth, coming out of the house. It quickly got out of the car and ran up to Kenneth giving him a hug.

"Are you alright?"

"I'm still standing aint i?" I smiled at him, I heard crackling of rocks coming up the drive way, I looked and saw that my parents and brother were coming. They got out of the car and looked completly horrified.

"What the hell happened here?" My dad said looking at the house. The windows were broken and bullet holes were in the walls.

"Dont worry, everythings under control." Alexander said.

"Aleera. Are you hurt?" my mom asked as she came up to me putting her nads on my face looking at me straghit in the eye.

"Mom, I'm fine."

"This is so freaking cool." Kurk went running around the house, hes awmazed by all of this.

　

When everything got straightened out, it was finally over. The war had finally ended, everything was back to normal.

"What are you gonna do now?" Kenneth asked me as we sat down by the waterfall.

"Going back to the house, I think my family had a little to much resort time."

"Haha, you think."

"What about you? What are you gonna do?"

"Well, I hopeing that you and I stay together for all eternity and have nothing get in our way."

"Kenneth thats so sweet." He took my hand and kissed it gently, sending a sensational vibe up my spine.

"Ich liebe dich" Kenneth said.

"Ich libeb dich zu" I replied back and we kissed tell the sunset came up over the horizon.
