The rest of the morning....well, I'm just going to say it: It sucked. All we did was write down on pieces of paper answers to questions that were written on blackboards. Questions like "what activities do you do outside of school?" and, "what's your favorite subject"...etc.
The class that I missed was English. Once all the students cleared out, I went in to apologize to the teacher. His name is Mr. Heir and he has dark brown skin and is kind of short. I told him my excuse for why I wasn't there but he really didn't seem to care. So, I got off easy.
It's lunch time so, I stare at the map, trying to find which left to make: the first, or the second, or the third... I was so concentrated that I ran straight into someone and fell backwards to the floor.
"Ouch!" I struggle to stand up.
I look up and, shockingly it's my neighbor. The boy from my dream. He's for sure a senior because he looks older than me but not by more than one or two years., like I said before he looks around 18 or 19. His green-for-now eyes are staring down at me, looking annoyed. He doesn't even help me get up. Rude.
"Watch where you're going next time." He says and takes off again. But just before he turned around, I saw a name tag taped on one of his textbooks, it read: Dawson. Hmm...Dawson. Is that is first name or his last name? I don't know yet, but I'm planning on finding out soon.
I pick up my bag off the floor and turn around to see a girl with light brown hair standing right in front of me. Her big blue eyes staring at me.
"Hi." I say
"Hello. My name's Madison, are you new?" She says, looking at the map in my hands.
"Yeah..." I smile.
"You could dome sit at our table at lunch if you want." She gestured to a group of two other girls talking by some lockers.
"Are those your other friends?" I ask Madison.
"Yes. Come on, I'll introduce you" She walked in the direction of the two girls and I follow. She seems like a really nice person.
"Wait," she stops halfway "I just remembered I need to know your name to introduce you."
"Oh, yeah, that makes sense" I smile "It's Celeste Meyer."
"Ohhh I looove that name!" She widens her eyes. Her curly hair falling in front of her face. She's really pretty, has on a white dress and boots the same color as her hair and dark red lipstick. That outfit would look terrible on me, but looks great on her.
"Thank you" I laugh a little.
She starts walking again, "Come on." She pulls on my arm.
When we arrive to the two girls, they stop talking, look up at me and then look at Madison, giving her a look as if to say "who is this girl and what is she doing here".
"Celeste, this is Alice and Jude. Alice, Jude, this is Celeste" She says, giving them both a "be nice to the new girl" look.
Alice is like two inches smaller than me and has blond hair too, but darker than mine. She has small hazel eyes and freckles. Her skin is very pale but it looks good on her, not like sick-pale. She has on a blue floral T-shirt and black jeans. I all of the sudden think of my dream again, when I fell into the blue and purple flower meadow.
Alice gives me a shy smile and says "Nice to meet you".
"You too" I reply.
Jude just nods and smiles an obviously fake smile at me. Does she not like me already?
Jude is the complete opposite of Alice. She has black, wavy hair and tan skin, kind of like Dawson's. She's wearing a navy blue skater skirt and a white T-shirt with 01 printed on the front. She has on white converse shoes and knee high white socks. Is that a knew trend now? Must be. She's really tall. She could definitely be a model. Why is it that I move here and my level of self esteem completely drops?
"Well, now that that's done, let's go eat!" Says Madison.
Madison must be the "leader" of their group but not like a mean bitch, she's just the one that always starts the conversation and includes everyone. Alice and Jude always seem to listen to her and she knows almost everyone in this school. Every time she said "hi" to somebody, she introduced me right after.

Finally, the last bell went off and I grabbed my books and my map and eventually, after getting lost several times, found my way to the front gate. When I turned left towards my bike, I saw Madison sitting on the curb.
"Madison?" I ask.
She turns her head and, when she sees me, stands up.
"Hey, Celeste." She smiles. "Hum...so I told my mom that I met you today and that you and your family are new here, so she wanted to know if you guys would like to come over for dinner tonight. I know it's short notice and I understand if your parents say you can't come."
"Wow, that's really nice of your mom to invite us. But, I'll have to ask my parents first." I say.
"Of course, she says, here's my number. Call me and let me know." She hands me a folded up piece of paper and smiles. "Gotta go. My mom's waiting for me in that car over there" she points to a red Toyota.
"Okay, I say, see you later maybe"
"Bye" Madison gives me a hug and walks over to the car where her mom is waiting.
I unlock my bike from the chain and pedal down the street. Hoping that "Dawson" will be there when I get home.
